With Fear The Walking Dead, we're lead to assume that it's nation wide at least, maybe with small pockets of un-affected areas, which is where the helicopter came from. I just really hope it's a major plot point and not like the Lost Polar bear, which was just ludicrous. As the show does seem to repeat itself and is kind of losing it's way a bit, I personally hope that the helicopter is a major game changer that could lead to the end of the show in some properly conclusive way rather than just carrying on and letting it wither and die as viewing figures drop. Obviously the comics are still continuing to generate income, but the TV show is a different beast with different drivers for it's success.
Didn't the conversation with the Russian cosmonaut reveal that it was global in Fear The Walking Dead?

Season 3 episode 8 of fear, shown in the UK at the start of July on BT. Crumbs if a 4 month old episode is considered spoiler material...

That would be good, I do fear though that the Helicopter was put in like a 'Lost' style Polar Bear, to create excitement and they'll worry about how it fits into the 'universe' later on, if indeed they bother.

Hope I'm wrong. Anyone read the comics care to mention anything about it (behind spoiler of course).
That was my reaction. I think the writers are just grasping at straws now. There doesn't seem to be any discernible plot in this series and details seem to be skipped. It also jumps around too much time wise, it is difficult to follow have is happening "live" and what is a flashback.

In Series 1 at the Centre for Disease Control the scientist mentions something along the lines of ‘colleagues in France’ holding out for longer than else where. I’ve always assumed it was a worldwide problem.

What did Gabe say at the end?
Silly R/D fight.

Otherwise, a much better episode even if they have taken the GoT approach to filming everything in the dark.

I've only seen a season and a half of FTWD, beginning to think I should get my act together and watch the whole thing!

No comments on last nights episode? Have people finally given up?

TBH, nothing happened again. Just going through the usual motions.

Rick's stupid plan 1). Go to the trash hobbits on his own.

Seems like the plan of a sound minded, level headed strategist.

To be fair to Rick, his tete-a-tete with Daryl could have gone better if he needed a friend to hold his hand.

Each episode has barely ten minutes of content, so there isn't really much to comment on week to week.

Is Daryl's only role to appear in the nick of time?

Christ, that was awful.
Was it very mumbly this week? I didn't hear half of what was said in the rambling monologues.
Coral "lets expose ourselves to unnecessary danger" chip off the old block combined with Ninja zombies (attacking from behind, didn't they notice them earlier) and how do zombies bring down a deer?
Rick "I'm an idiot"
Could Negan only do part time this series?
Maggie should just kill long hair, he's had enough warnings.

It's so disjointed. I'd forgotten why Coral was in the woods, what Rick was doing or really any of the others. Why have they all left Negan's place unguarded, so they can make and execute an escape plan probably.

I’m finding this a lot lately, not just on TWD, but on a lot of other series/films. I tend to have subtitles on most of the time nowadays as I find I understand so much more of what’s going on. (And I’m sure this isn’t down to my age lol).

Like when Michonne and that other girl stopped the car suddenly cos they could hear music - I couldn’t hear it at first, even through a decent sound system, but the subtitles at the bottom said that it was there. Or is it just me? smile

He was supposed to be guarding um...whatever their place is called again I actually forget. What with Michonne buggering off with Rositta to do their own thing by screwing everything up and wasting every advantage they have fought in blood for and go against Rick's master plan, which is to screw everything up and waste every advantage they have fought in blood for, oh wait that is his plan? And of course Coral randomly goes out into the woods with his packed lunch knowing he will find the guy where he has never seen him before.

I heard the music, but my missus didn't. We have to put the telly volume up to about 50 for TWD. It's normally on 20

I think you need a decent sound bar or speakers! I have no problems hearing anything.

I do watch programmes I concentrate on with the volume high though, The Punisher on Netflix was particularly cinematic when the bombs were going off. hehe

I have a decent sound system, Denon with B&W speakers in a dedicated cinema room.
Volume is on -9 or more when most stuff is on -15/20 and games are usually between -25 and -35! (lower is louder)

We ‘watched’ it this afternoon, but it was more background noise. I feel quite lost with it now.
