I feel compelled to watch now rather than choosing to. This will be the last season I bother with though I think.

I guess TWD and FTWD spoiler if you didn't see Talking Dead, I saw it until they introduced the cross-over character who's back story I guess we see more of.

I suppose Morgan being on FTWD as well now is probably not long for the main show then, probably want to kill off a major character and in return they give him more time on the other show instead

I didn't get this; I Googled, and was told that FTWD is a prequel to TWD. If TWD starts with the apocalypse, then presumably FTWD is just a bunch of people living a normal life?

We ‘watched’ it this afternoon, but it was more background noise. I feel quite lost with it now.
Yep - me as well - it was probably one of the worst episodes of TWD I've ever watched. Very disappointed.

In TWD it's already happened - Rick was in a coma whilst it was happening. In FTWD they 'see' it start to happen. HTH

Yeah, I watched the first two series of FTWD but it was dire, I hoped it would give more scope and the cause. Nope....

The problem I have with this as I have no idea what is going on just now as others have said its just "background noise". Its constantly backwards and forwards, flashbacks, dreams, obscure parts. This is just going to be more of a head fk. I only tune in to see how bad its got, its like some sort of B movie now.

Been wondering whether to start watching FTWD. I did try the first few episodes when it first came out but gave up as I just couldn’t get into it, but have been hearing it gets better as it goes on. According to your post, maybe it doesn’t.

It's just the same st with worse characters.

It never answered any questions that I had and just depicted lawlessness and savagery with token zombie deaths.

Absolutely loved the first few seasons, tailed off over 6/7.

Can someone tell me if 8 is not:

1. Travel
2. Kill zombies
3. Find nice people
4. Nice people not so nice
5. Kill / run from not so nice people
6. Travel
7. Find bad people
8. Kill / run from bad people
9. Goto 1.

...and therefore worth watching?

If that's what season 8 consisted of, it would be a lot less st than it actually is.

Not really no, well sort of - they haven't moved since series 5 really, the story being played out this series is one that started in series 6, you could argue series 5 really. You could start watching from this weeks and wouldn't be lost, it's been a while since any characters all but hardcore fans could name have died or indeed done much.

To be brutally frank, series 6,7 & 8 have been the "Millennium New Years Eve Party" of TV shows, a huge amount of hype, but ultimately a huge anti-climax. as you've probably seen above or from all the marketing stuff for the series it's "all out war" but so far this terrifying, 1000 man strong army has fired a million bullets which don't seem to work.

You know what, maybe that's it - they've been trolling us with these A-Team bullets that ping off stuff and fail to pass through plastic American Football armour - Eugene builds their bullets doesn't he? maybe he's been only quarter filling them?

I quite liked FTWD but only watched the first 2 seasons as they're on Amazon Prime atm but not season 3... (yet?)

I felt that last season - I've not watched this one for more than a few minutes.

It has gone downhill but I sort of still enjoy it this part of the story with the saviours needs to end quite like to see them go on the road again.

I watched last nights (I must be some kind of glutton for punishment).

Possibly the worst episode ever for stupidity. At least the series 2 quiet-fest had character storylines, the big reveal halfway through and the bigger one at the end for everyone.

TWD Stupidity + humanity = Stumanity, Hupidity or Stumanidity?

JUST MAKE ONE EPISODE WHERE SOMETHING HAPPENS!

Is that too much to ask?

You would have thought stupid Rick would have told everyone what his stupid plan was so that they didn't do something stupid and ruin his stupid plan.
