The bite is pointless anyway.

1. There's no reason why a bite would necessarily be fatal. Bear in mind this is the same person who GOT SHOT IN THE HEAD a couple of months ago, and he was fine the next day.
2. Several others have been bitten in the past and survived
3. We established, waaay back in series 2 or 3 that everyone will turn into a zombie when they die, even if they didn't get bitten.
Not watched for two years, but, living people are carriers, bites by dead carries something that kills or an 'active' strain. When Hershel was bitten they moved like mad to chop of his leg so he wouldn't die.

So frustrating.

The biggest show on the planet at one time and very watchable. Saying that I came to it late and binged up to series six so may be selective in my memory in forgetting any filler episodes in S1-6, there was probably loads.

However I don't remember it ever being this bad, have they changed the writers or have the writers gone a bit up themselves?

From a very well imagined world which really conveyed the hopelessness so well to where we are now boggles the mind.

I've also watched S1 and S2 of "Fear of..." on Amazon which is really good. Amazon the rip off merchants still want £30 for S3 and so many times I've been tempted to buy it. Cannot wait for when it becomes free.

An hour of ineptitude and boredom and then the bite. I didn't see that coming. But still doesn't make up for how badly written this series has been with confusing and badly intertwined plot lines.

Maybe the acting exodus has started?

And Eugene really doesn't like wine.

And Eugene....
He needs his own show, something like "Life advice anecdotes from Eugene". Top telly that'd be.

Going to have to call it a day with TWD, this season has been total arse crack, they should probably can the show after this tbh.

Lots of jumping about to different locations in the dark where you didn't really know (or care) what was going on.

The i glimpsed up from my phone i saw Negan and his goons were back and then something about Carl at the end *shrugs*

This episode should have had Negan swinging and people dying, not dragged out

Watching back on a few clips from the first season, the zombies displayed intelligence! When they were trapped in the Shopping Mall, a zombie used a stone to damage the reinforced window, when Glen saved Rick for the first time, they had to flee as the zombies began to climb the ladder and then Morgans zombiefied wife used the door knob to try to open the door! They also seemed to be capable of running in a few scenes.

The zombies definitely seemed to be a bigger threat in the first few seasons!

Just caught up on it. Never been so happy to see someone get bitten, Patch McHat is annoying grumpy little tt that needed to be dealt with earlier. Now if someone would please like to set some Claymore mines up in the drains we could get on with something useful.

It's hard to continue when you don't feel anything towards any of the characters.
How many chances have they had to kill Negen and vice versa?

This should have been put to bed now either in a mega death or the flashback to Coral and Rick talking and Coral basically suggesting to work with them.

Round and round we go until we all get disappointed when Negen dies as we all really want Rick to die.

Christ, we've spent the last 2 season's going round in one big circle. I know the budget cuts have hit hard, but it seems they're resorting to recycling scripts now.

Season 6 - they attack the saviour's base, think they've done a good job but then realise that they haven't when they get held up on the road. Guns are taken away and one gets killed to teach them a lesson.

Season 8 - they attack the saviour's base, think they've done a good job but then realise that they haven't when they get held up on the road. Guns are taken away and one gets killed to teach them a lesson.

Although I take one consolation in that (hopefully) Alexandria has been destroyed. Would be good to see a new location (it's been a while)...

There has to be a link between Lost and TWD, both started off so well and ended up being utter tripe.

I watched my last episode last week, no more for me, I'm out.

We were hooked for the first few series, glued, couldnt wait for the next episode. It was facinating, provoking, different. Then it went a bit pants. Now its become exponentially dire turning into a cowboys and indians bonanza series. We're out.

I could only make it to 40 mins and then switched off, I realised I really don't care what happens to who anymore and how much time I've wasted on this turgid POS.

The problem lies completely with the writing, you can still have a great TV show with a smaller budget.

The problem is that most of the characters do not resemble real people anymore. The show was at it's best when you had people like Shane, Dale, Andrea etc, hell even The Governor you could believe in. The people of Alexandria, sheltered in their community and the people of Woodberry living a happy-go-lucky life with a darkness bubbling under the surface.

If you'll forgive the comparison, it's a similar problem to the Big Brother TV show. In the beginning the housemates were ordinary folk like you & I, thrust together in a very confined environment with no outside contact. The behaviours and events that happened were fascinating and watchable as they were relatable to us, whereas the latter series have just been a load of crazies that are bound to be, well, crazy. As such we lose all interest because we can't relate and don't care.

There is a way back for TWD, give us the real characters back, change it up a notch and take out the dumbness. Christopher Nolan has proven that you don't have to treat the audience like a bunch of divs.

I totally agree. There's no character story feel to it anymore. At the moment it's just two sides slugging it out... It used to have some mystery and intrigue. They used to find new groups and we'd get a window that increased over time to see more about them. The group size ebbed and flowed and now it just feels like most characters aren't going to get killed off. Of course I'll be proved wrong on some of this and of course it's loosely based on a comic series, but it just seems to have dropped the ball and instead of going back to what it used to do really well it's become less intimate and involved and just a case of planning the next attack, attack, retaliate.. Take the walkers out (as they almost seem to have done) and it just becomes two gangs trying to kill each other. It's lost the thing that made it different to other shows.

Saying all of that I will watch it, but as others have said it's almost become background noise and I'm not that fussed about watching it as soon as it's available.
