After 8 seasons you reckon? hehe

Last nights episode was pretty dismal. Let’s see what the finale brings.

Nothing! Nowt!, Bugger all!

They'll faff about for 80% of the running time with side story, silly monologues, pointless long arty shots. Then they'll leave a cliff hanger that won't be revisited until around the third episode of season 9.

Will I keep watching? Probably aye, I like coming here on Tuesdays and moaning about it.

And me. Not seen any of the last 6 episodes and not really missing it. Regularly check here to see if it has picked up. I don’t think it will now.

Like the first half of Series 2 when the group spend about a decade it seems camped on the freeway looking for a little girl, you could probably skip through series 8, or just read the thread and would be fully prepared for what will be not doubt and awesome series 9.

Probably most telling for me is that I only watch it because my Wife still enjoys it, I hardly remember most of the series because I'm busy doing distracted by my phone.

I don't really care how it ends next week, as long as the Negan thing is resolved some how so we can move on. They've been fighting Negan since series 6.

I will concede that Coral had a point in his farewell letter, 3 years of war (which apparently is going to be 'all out' next week, although I can't tell if that's a case of 'still' or 'finally', they must have fired a million bullets by now) and dozens if not hundreds dead and everyone starving, not really gone to plan has it Rick, but then... it never does, does it?

Oh we did learn one thing that was only briefly useful. It was Simon who had all the men and boys killed at love island.

Nope.
It's really just about to turn the corner.
Come 2021 tell me if I wasn't right.

That helicopter we keep seeing is going to crash land and it will be carrying enough ammo to last them another 3 seasons. Some of the soldiers will join each side and call in reinforcements to make sure there is enough zombie fodder and expendable characters.

It's never going to end. Never! We need to nuke them. Twice.

Can someone please kill Eugene. His character is the most annoying in the show by a mile, compounded by his obsession of talking like he’s a PHer seeking legal advice.

Somebody please just fking shoot him.

Darrell the expert tracker, “he can’t have gone far.” Me, a viewer, yeah he’s a fat bell end he wouldn’t run off anywhere he’ll be hiding in that ash. Sure enough...

I liked the twist that saw Dwight finish off Simon and then Negan seeing off the Dwight threat straight after. This makes the final episode a bit less predictable, although it will inevitably lead to some sort of stand off where either no one dies and there’s a cliff hanger or some main characters die and the next season is all new.

The Saviours need to be finished now, it’s time the show moved past this story arch.

Rick - "aaaaam gonna keeeel yuuuuuu" he says despite being tied up by half a ton of heavy chain, a concrete block around his feet and perched precariously on the edge of a wooden gangway into a deep lake, behind him the wooden boards are on fire.
Negan - "Now where have I heard that before?"

Cue "da da DAAAAAAAA" then end credits and music, tune in next time folks.

I've reached the point now that Negan is by far the more interesting character in it, I wouldn't mind if he bashed Rick's skull in and took over the rest of the known Walking Dead world.

There’s a lot of differences at this stage in the show to the comic. I could give some details without being too spoilerific under spoiler tags. Not sure anyone cares any more though hehe
