I think that’s intentional, something to do with the film it’s shot on

Farcical.

These American box set shows always go a season or two too far, believe their own hype and ruin what has gone before with their final effort. I've seen it many times.

Glaring mistakes as highlighted above. Bearing in mind the persecution these people have experienced at the hands of the Saviours, the only logical thing to do would be to round them up and end them, but I guess that wouldn't make a full seasons viewing.

Characters/faces popping up everywhere that we've never seen before too...confusing.

Shame.

Indeed, TWD has always had a very grainy feel to it.

What I was frustrated with the latest episode is that we had no information about what each "mission" was doing, what their objective was, or even where they were. I didn't have a clue what was going on, what they were trying to achieve or why, yes we know they're at war etc, but they must have been at those locations for a reason, the only insight we had was that Rick and Daryl were after some guns.

Last nights was weak.

I mean 'Hollywood' bullets - AKs and AR15s that can barely punch through glass, kill red shirts dead instantly but sort of knock out Morgan for dramatic effect.

The leader of the saviours who, upon realising that they were now surrounded by their recently killed mates were in trouble just allowed one to eat her.

Oh and yes, not since the shoot out which was almost like Police Squad.

It was another £4.50 budget filler episode.
100% agree with you on this. Odd how they can still hear each other after firing off a seemingly unendless magazine of rounds, at close range and did anyone notice no shells ejecting?. Yeah yeah I know it's fantasy but some semblance of reality would be nice, even if it is in a zombie universe.

As for Morgan going all Terminator....pffftt..

Two guards were shot through the head, blood splattering the glass door windows but the bullets didn't hit or break the glass.

Walking Dead physics.

The guy lying dead next to Morgan. Clearly breathing. Not even trying to stay still. Then the long shot of morgan walking away you can see the dead guys pulse on his neck....

So many things already mentioned have turned it into a comedy show.

And that guy with the tiger.... FFS please kill him off now.

I did cringe when he said "Carol, save your munitions" .

Yep, I had to rewatch the end of Ep1 to work out what Carol and Tiger Dude were laying about at the start, seems a Saviour set off a smoke grenade, but it seemed to knock them out between eps.

No, I haven't a clue who is where - Are Rick and Daryl still at Saviour HQ? I thought they left. Anyway they seemed to be where they held Daryl.

Morgan and Tara seem to be attacking the compound they attacked in series 6?

No idea where Carol and the Tiger are.

Seems the writers are trying to humanise the Saviours, they usually do that when they need to fold them into the core group.

More than anything though, last nights episode really drove home the fact that the shark is now well and truly jumped now. It's lost a lot of it's edge, as someone said, it's become very A-Team, it used to be tough to watch sometimes, but now it's no harder than an NCIS or the like.

No they are somewhere else and that was just another prisoners room.

Looks like it to me.

The only thing that would have redeemed it for me would have been Morgan murdering everyone they had lined up outside after his murder spree inside... from pacifist to crazy. Ignoring the rest of the group

Wife wanted to watch it last night so I suffered through it. Even the wife said she’s given up on it. Last night’s episode was so bad it was comical.

It's not really worth bothering with now.

Z Nation gives me zombies and deliberate comedy at times and a stronger story.

Van Helsing gives me a much darker and more believable apocalypse.

Even Fear the Walking Dead is probably stronger.

They've managed to lose the quality it used to have and they're stuck with boring stories (not helped by the comics) so you wonder why they continue to drag it out. Certainly if they don't steer away from the comics soon they're stuffed. Better quality production wouldn't hurt either, doesn't need to mean more money just caring a little about what they're making.

I'm with the consensus here that it was a bit crap to say the least.

Started out completely confused and didn't end up that much less confused. Who's doing what and why I have no idea. The team with the bullet proof rusty roofing sheets are official the worst shots in history, the enemy are within spitting distance. Lets keep firing 1000's of bullets at them rather than just chuck a handful of petrol bombs which would take them all out in 5 minutes.

Given the 1000's of bullets, collection of guns and small fleet of vehicles. Why would Rick and his people even bother to attack Negan? It's not like America is a small country. Just jump in the cars, armed to the teeth with guns, Carol and a tiger and go take over a small town somewhere 2000 miles away. Shag like bunnies and live happily ever after.

Yup. it was silly.
Endless ammo from the stormtroopers, and one shot kills from everyone else.
Morgan gone from pacifist to psycho killer
I have a feeling we are not in a linear timeline here.
but no idea what anyone was doing.
a bit rubbish

I watch this show with mild bemusement now, the gun battles as said, are laughable, certainly doesn't instill any sense of tension.

And the shots came from the side.. must have hit the skull and rebounded 90 degrees!
And all that ammo, not ONE grenade!

Don't forget, Legolas who was able to use the old double arrow technique on a couple of red shirts (but can't hit anyone of any value, funny that). I expected Rick to put on the one ring and go invisible.

And can someone shoot that 'King' please? His speeches are so uncomfortable to watch, like Ricky Gervais in the Office.

Absolutely shocking. Didn't really have a clue what was going on last night and to be honest I don't even care anymore.

Do they even have a budget for this? Felt like it was on a time loop a lot and the same scenes being shown over and over again.

Feeling like a chore to keep watching it now.

Agree with all this, didn't have a clue where everyone was or why Carol and the King were laying on the floor blown up! Used to really love it and it had loads of tension, now it's just frustrating to watch frown

Why were we zoomed in on their faces at the beginning and end too, bloody waste of air time silly
