Thought I'd give Thor another go tonight, it's pretty OK.

Cap USA 1&2 were on in recent weeks and it reminded me, did we see Red Skull die, or was he transported?
Red Skull was transported somewhere in the galaxy by the Tesseract when he touched it but the actor Hugo Weaving has said he's had zero contact about playing him again and has no interest in doing so anyway.

I'd imagine that that would be one of the easier characters to get another actor to portray hehe

Are there any good primers knocking around (text or video) to bring you up to speed pre Infinity War?

I've watched everything but over the course of 10 years it's easy to lose track. I'm specifically interested in the status of characters going into IW, such as where they are and with who etc.

Yeah, I realise that'd I've forgotten much of Civil War which is the biggest lead in I think, Cap and his shield for example.
I guess Ragnarok is the best lead in for that lot.

I's pretty good that the channels have been showing the early ones, made me recall the tesseract/cosmic cube (early name change there, important?)
They've shown CA1&2, GotG and Thor.

I was considering the midnight showing on Wednesday - but might catch it Thursday instead.

I think Civil War and Ragnorok are definitely on the watch list over the next couple of days.

Yup, I suggested Homecoming to my wife as well, mainly because as per those other two it's just a darn good film.

I sat down and watched Civil War again just the other day. I don't rate it at all after my 2nd watch. Very flashy and about zero depth to it.

I did like Thor Ragnorak though even after a 2nd watch. I thought the humour and action was bang on. Maybe its the fact it involves gods with proper super powers and not a bunch of humans doing fancy twirls.

I watched the original Avengers again on the weekend which I enjoyed and going to have a 2nd watch of Age of Ultron which I've no doubt will be the same.

Looking forward to Infinity War.

I got a bit tired of Ragnarok.

IW1 will be interesting for me...I feel that I might be at peak superhero films, watching IW1 will give me a good indication of if that's the case.

I'm booked to go Thursday night at 8, however, a work colleague is going to the Weds midnight showing, so gonna have to try and avoid him like the plague, (I usually do anyway, hence why I said colleague rather than mate)

To say i'm excited is an understatement.

It's my 48th birthday on Friday. My 20 and 17 year old sons are taking me to see this. Eldest is driving, they're paying for the cinema and popcorn. It's like being a kid again. Haha.

My colleague has booked to see this at midnight Thursday morning; sod that, I'd fall asleep, I'm happy to wait a week or 2 for the hype to slow down.

Anyone know how long it is?

Had booked midnight showing for tommorrow night about 6 weeks ago but not clicked it was this week we are visiting wife's family for a week.

So going to see it on Sunday when home but I bet FB etc is going to be a nightmare of wkers spoiling with massive pictures you can't avoid.

Grr.

I'm going cold turkey on the internet as of now until Thursday night. Heard mumblings of stuff leaking out of the various premiere screenings so really don't want it ruined. The trailers, surprisingly, have done a cracking job of ramping up the buzz whilst giving almost nothing away.

Same here. I only have tickets for Saturday. It's going to be a long few days.

Tickets booked - 6:30 on Thursday biggrin

Early non-spolierish reviews are looking promising. Sounds like they have managed to bring the huge array of characters together quite successfully - which was IMO, the biggest challenge this movie faced.

This next 32 hours is going to drag soooo much.

Looks like the same old same old to me.

Let me guess...Bad guy comes to (or from) earth with his army of creatures and does battle with earths super heroes.

Done recently in Justice League and moreover Marvel did it before with Avengers Age Of Ultron IIRC.

Are there no other scripts left in Hollywood now?
I’m hearing my forecast is almost entirely correct. Not that you had to be Nostradamus to see it coming.

CGI battle against the evil leader and his hordes ensues. Yawn.

I’ve booked for Saturday but only because the other half really wants to see this.
