The only film I've ever walked out of.
The Dad of a lad I went to college with was gay, he owned a hairdressers & while cutting my hair told me watching Demi Moore in that film had made him question his sexuality once again!
Micheal Douglas got paid for that scene with Demi Moore.

That should be the stock answer if you Google "Is life unfair?"

I have walked out of two films in my life & fell asleep in one other.

I had the displeasure of being dragged to watch "Joe versus the Volcano " with Tom Hanks - walked out of that... what a load of rubbish... I hope Tom Hanks got well paid, as he has got such a good body of work.... what a howler.

Again, "Dick Tracy" with Madonna & Warren Beatty - walked out of that.... utter drivel

and one of the Batman films in the 90's where the Penguin was played by Danny DeVito I think - feck me... I could not keep my eyes open - still have not seen how that drivel ends...

It's just a lot of silliness stringing together some songs that I never tire of hearing, I watched it again last night and still enjoyed it. 'The Cars That Ate Paris' would have to be one of the worst I've seen.

Took a lass to see that for our first date, think we should have done the same as you Hackney

Don't think anything else that was playing that night would have been better though

Does that mean you missed Michelle Pfeiffer wearing the 'cat woman' costume? You really should have stayed for that.

Oh god, that.

As a standalone film it's absolutely appalling.

As a sequel to the original it's an insult - I assume at some point whoever was in charge of it saw the final cut before he/she signed it off to release. I hope to god they at least paused for a moment before signing it off with a heavy heart and no other option.

The circle

Cast included tom hanks, Emma Watson, John Boyega and Bill Paxton so they clearly had a budget to play with.

Utter tripe, cliched and predictable. I hated it from the start and was only glad when my mrs suggested we leave after an hour. On the way home we guessed at what the ending and major plot 'twists' might be and we were largely correct.

I should say I sat through dude where's my car in its entirety at the cinema, so it takes a lot for me to leave.

I didn't think that got a Cinema release - I thought it was a 'Netflix Original'?

Anyway, poor old Tom Hanks who could do no wrong for decades is having a bad run of it of late isn't he? The last Devinci Code film was pants, A Hologram for the King was the worst comedy I've ever seen I think, it was just boring and depressing, Ithaca? Didn't exactly set the world alight and got poor reviews.

A pretty bad run by his standards.

The Immortals.

French sci-fi about an Earth ruled by ancient gods.

Watching it genuinely makes the world a less pleasant, hopeful, place.

Not in the 'so bad, it's good' category. It is just bad. Awful.

A painful experience. I actually hate any and everyone involved in its creation. They unleashed upon us a vapid, bleak, reminder that for all mankind's achievements, we can lower ourselves to soul sucking pretentious banality of the worst kind.

Don't ever watch it. Don't even look it up on IMDb. You will be, forever, a little poorer and lacking as a human being as a result.

It may actually be evil.

That would explain a few things, I did wonder why it wasn't mentioned at all in the film thread.

It had a cinema release here (uae) and was packed out when we went.

Another one that comes to mind is House Of Flying Daggers. In that case it was a very early showing, would have been around when it was doing Cannes or maybe even before that so it was unknown and six months before the UK release.

Anyway it's a gorgeous looking film and so on but as it gets to the end there is a big fight, and it got to the point the where everyone was laughing as they did the 'hero springs back from the dead to do a bit more fighting' thing about five times. Once or maybe twice OK, but doing it repeatedly had everyone mocking it.

Maybe it changed in the release cut; I never felt like watching it again.
