As I said, people just listing films they like or don't like.

Oh well.
Have to agree, think the rule should be that you need to make at least some effort to explain why rather than just " fell asleep in (insert hugely popular blockbuster)"

How do you define a "worst" film?
I sat through Lord of the rings.
I did not like it at all.
It was the worst film I have seen in a cinema.

There is no objective way of measuring "worst".

The Flintstones was another travesty of poor casting, and massive marketing budget. Far too many people got to see a really poorly executed film.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels ruined by a funny scene in the trailer (which persuaded me to give it a try) being totally removed from the final cut, just why would they do that.

You've just reminded me....the Thunderbirds movie. Completely disrespected the TV series. Hollywood remake at its absolute worst.

An early date with girlfriend; long term wife. She still owes me for that.

Tropic Thunder is the only one me (& my wife) have walked out of. Ben Stiller is not a funny man - we knew that going in so why we thought we'd enjoy it is beyond us.

Another couple followed us out too.
OMG DO YOU EVEN HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR ?

Never mind the Tom Cruise character smile
It wasn't offensive enough is the honest answer. Given that they had a character in blackface we thought it might be edgier than it actually was. And Tom Cruise doesn't appeal either.

see this is where opinion devides, we loved it. in the cinema, with the noises in the background it worked, however at home on tv it didnt.
in context, at the time, it was reasonably ground breaking. the follow up however is indeed a steaming pile of crap.

For me it's probably Need For Speed with Aaron Paul. Bought the DVD for about £3 and I still feel cheated. Think I took the disk out and threw it straight in the bin!

I know it’s not my job to police these things, but the thread title is “What's the worst film you ever saw AT THE CINEMA?”

That’s not the same as watching a cheap DVD or download at home.

Along Came a Spider http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0164334/?ref_=nv_sr_1

I don't think it was horrifically bad, but completely unmemorable. The friends I was with were asking if we wanted to leave halfway through.

Or, Made in America http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107478/?ref_=nv_sr_2

First trip to the cinema with a mate, without parents as a 12 year old. The other film that was on was Jurassic Park. Can you guess which one I wanted to see?!

It was ruined for me by the ring-tone of another cinema go'er. The bit where their being "attacked" in the woods (but not really) and they're all doing upclose drippy nose camera shots the girl said something like "Oh God, it's......" when the Birdie Song ringtone blared out of someones phone, which ruined any tension/atmosphere instantly as the whole cinema eurpted in laughs.

After that point whenever anything scary was happening someone would start singing the Birdie Song again causing everyone to bust out laughing again, all of which ruined, for me, what should have beeen a scary movie biggrin

Keith Lemon the movie.

Walked out, the only film I've ever done that in, not because I'm easily offended or whatever, it was just sooo bad, embarrassingly.
I can't imagine what would possess anyone to a) make such a film or b) go to see it.

Some of these are unexpectedly disappointing, but, really, the clue's in the title here! biggrin
