What's the worst film you ever saw at the cinema?
Discussion
Traffic with Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta jones in. It was all hyped up so went the cinema and its the only time I've seen people get up and walk out on a film. I had to stay to the end because I thought something good is going to happen and come together, but no, just absolute rubbish.
i think it was called gridlocked. the foyer was jam packed, when the time arrived for the film to start , the crowd divided into two. a few hundred people went one way to watch conair , and two of us went the other way.
i was still waiting for something interesting to happen when the credits came up.

For me 3 come to mind:
Mars Attacks : the trailer was the best bit and the whole thing was a disappointment
Lord of the rings (the second one) - how boring can a film be?
and Con Air : people were laughing out loud towards the end as it was so bad.
If I had to choose 1, it would be the LOTR. utter drivel....

Blues Brothers 2000. The only film where I've walked out of a cinema.
+1 tho I gave up part way through watching on VHS. The original has a permanent place in my top 5.Worst cinema viewing? The Police Academy sequel (5?) where the finale sees them chase ne'er do wells on jetskis. Dear God.. Also Warlock with Richard E Grant tho this did see one of the funniest moments among my cinema visits: there's a scene with a woman holding court at a sceance & IIRC the warlock's supposed powers send her a bit mad with a crescendo of moaning - at which point the bloke behind me went "bzzzzzzzz...."
Dishonourable mention to Best Defence with Eddie Murphy & Dudley Moore, oh dear.

Closely followed by The Boys In Blue (I challenge anyone here to recall having to see this one). Basically a Cannon and Ball vehicle, so incredibly forgettable that all I know is that I saw it in a double feature with Silver Dream Racer which was a masterpiece in comparison. So long ago...
I actually enjoyed The Boys in Blue, probably because I am a huge Will Hay fan and this was loosely based on his 1938 classic "Ask a Policeman".Regarding Silver Dream Racer I happened to be at Silverstone, when purely by chance they were filming some scenes in 1979.
