Lord above, turns out Bran is useful.

And so much for magic binding the wall...

magic binds the wall, dragons are part off magic as well. Remember the more power the white walkers have coincides with the birth of dragons again.

Such a good episode. Just a shame jamie never became the valonquor.

Nice to see Littlefinger go out in a suitable snivelling manner. Although in general I've been surprised at just how few deaths there's been this season (although I expect 8 to more than compensate for that.) Still, what am I going to do for an entire year until it airs?

I knew something was up when euron stormed out, there's no way Cersei would let anyway walk out like that.

I enjoyed the episode, blue dragon flame was pretty awesome.

In a weird way the whole of the game of thrones has set up for the white walker king to win the throne. The dragon being lured to its death shows he is adapt at subterfuge.
Maybe the white walker wants to rule, the army of the dead are just a means to this, he can raise them as well as return them once he has what he wants.

I've always believed that the Night's King would be the ultimate winner, but I don't see how anyone can say that he lured Danerys or the dragons anywhere. It was after all their idea, however misguided, to capture a wight.

Although the episode did go someway towards redeeming the series overall, it did look like they spent the entire CGI budget on the penultimate episode.

OK, had a quick read, while trying to avoid spoilers. Possibly late 2018, possibly late 2018 and/or 2019.

Except it took Sam (is it Sam, the maester guy) to tell him about the wedding.

I don't think this series has been all that great. Seems too rushed over.

Good tease of the glegane scrap to come though

I took it as Bran just flicking through points in time. It wasn't until Sam gave him a specific point to look at, that things became clear.

To be fair, they did have a lot to cram in. Just like Jon Snow did last night.

Not really, though it was a bit of a disappointing end. The guy has spent 6 seasons putting together some master plan to rule the world and now we'll never find out what it was. I watched all the Preston Jacobs videos on LF today, he's going to be annoyed that they just took him out like that!

His planning and scheming was always going to be the end of him though, he's spent 7 seasons stood in the corner with a wry smile whilst men have fought and died and played his game.

Dying on his knees at the hands of Anya stark was a good end IMO.

The blue fire from Zombie Viserion was great too!

Yeah, sure, but we should have at least have found out what his plan was, what exactly he was involved in and why etc. We didn't learn anything about that and he basically got done in for something that Sansa has been condoning for 3 (?) seasons and a bit of Bran.
