Ah, so she is:

My observation still stands though smile

I have no preference between the BBC and C4 versions. I would say that the standard of the contestants is higher than the BBC version or they just got really lucky with the people who applied.

Yeah, my point was she came from the "tough" bit of Russia hehe

Contestants are always going to be a mixed bag.

Thought Noel was hilarious last night, more the Noel I know and love from Boosh etc. Hopefully he's relaxing into it.

Sandi seemed genuinely moved, I know Mel and Sue used to stay in the same hotel when it was on BBC and do some of the pastoral type support, guess it does get to them when they get to know the contestants so well

Pleased for Liam, really want Stacey to go, cannot abide her

Steven and Sophie would be deserved winners, Liam for his flavours (from what they say)

To be air to C4, the move has worked better than expected.
Yes, both Sophie and Steven seem to be fairly consistent and appear to have good knowledge. I think one of them will win. Surprisingly, the move to C4 has gone better than expected. Looks like cannoli will be in next week's episode, have wanted this for a long time.

Yep, really looking forward to this, have had two goes and both times results were suitable for the sort of derision meted out on the Jo Brand Extra Slice. Definitely a see me from teacher.

I hope they make them do the very thin crispy layered ones that look like shells, that should be fun!

I think C4 had a real challenge on their hands with this and they have done a great job.

The team seem to be coming together nicely and I really enjoy the bits where Sandi does the history of the food, she's a little more slick at this than Mel or Sue were. Noel seems to have relaxed a bit and they are starting to make the show their own.

In some ways it's a shame the whole team didn't go with them but maybe it needed a little refresh. It all feels a bit more relaxed and less formal which is no bad thing.

My biggest problem is that I like all the bakers so I don't want any of them to go!

Agreed - but no worse than Sue’s efforts in previous series.

Don't normally comment on these slightly creepy ways but Julia scrubbed up very well on An Extra Slice. Even the eyebrows were tamed, a bit.

So which of the 3 goes?

Stacey, Kate or Yan (spelling?)

There's a distinct division forming - 3 are premiership and 3 are championship. The winner is going to come from the top 3 without doubt.

That was my take on it too. 3 of them are clearly way in front of the rest. Which probably means they won't win if previous years are anything to go by.

Whilst Yan clearly had a bad week, after last week Stacey has to be on borrowed time. Twitter going all up tight about it.

At least I no longer feel so bad about my attempts at cannoli, how many times must they have practiced these and still they struggled.

I was praying for a good effort from Yan so that Stacey would go.

I sense she isnt liked in the tent either, no one seems to engage with her much or help as they do the others

Hopefully next week, please to see Liam doing well again
