I only noticed when they showed the clip of next week that the loud woman presenter wasn't on the show tonight. Much better without her.
This ^

She's gradually been getting more vocal and more annoying as the series progresses.

This was obviously going to happen. Start soft and build up. I noticed she was gone fairly early on and it was lovely. Noel is a bit ‘different’ but I enjoy him, and he’s actually a funny person.

My Missus watches this which means I have to watch it as well, shame Tash went. I for some reason presumed she was about 22, shes 28-29.

Got to say I was ready to slate her and did not think she was a good appointment, but I think she's fitted in well.

Tough episode for Tash but was the right one to go.

Anyone could win at this point, preview looked like it probably wasn't Dan though.

Yes - I'm still quite liking AH.

I like Matty too and dont wish him any misfortune in the final. But I think it would be an interesting scenario if he won with regards his overall skills. I guess that the best person will win but if he does it will be pushing that idea to it's limit.

But as I say, he seems like a nice guy. smile

I'm the same with Matty, my favourite of the remaining contestants but I think he'd be the first to say he's probably not Bake Off winner standard. Any other year he'd be long gone, but they do always love his flavours and obviously that's harder to convey on the telly vs impressive constructions.

Hard to see past Josh at this stage, his creations are consistently impressive visually.

Yea, he’s got it unless he messes up big time.

Should be Josh overall, but Matty's back in it after the showstopper.

Tough. Depends if they only go on todays efforts or the series. Matty for today only, josh for all series.

Dan's fall from grace was odd. In the first few weeks he looked the winner, but then the last few weeks he lost all his form. I suspect he's better than today's performance.

A fluke I’d say. He was good but Josh was better overall

I got that wrong. His showstopper impressed the judges.

Wow! How did that happen? Like I say above, he's a nice guy and well done. But he seemed to wing-it the whole way through. Tash must be kicking herself. She wouldn't have been a dead-cert for that but she'd have been in with a chance. Josh messed up a bit doing the final challenge which rarely goes wrong for anyone in the final. Not as far as I remember anyway.

Brilliant result, Matt must be a criminal to have robbed Josh like that. But on the day, he squeezed through deservedly. Every other episode he seemed to be winging it….. but maybe he was sand bagging.

Overall, Josh should have his own business doing cooking, he was the best overall through the series.

Dan.. believed his own greatness too much. Disaster in the final. Didn’t warm to him at all.

Matt’s was the only cake I wished I could have had a slice of at the end of the show…. So the result must have been fair.

I think Tash would have been a better finalist than Dan.

It's not the first time the favourite has stumbled at the last hurdle.

I was surprised by Matty as I was amazed he got past week three but he seemed to improve all the time when the likes of Dan peaked a few weeks ago.
