Watched a couple of episodes so far. It is moving at a very slow pace, but it's gripping. I can see that not everything is going to be as it seems.

Scenery is amazing.

Ten minutes inťo episode 1 and Tim Roth's accent is grating already.

It's another one where people mumble their lines, so had to turn it up. Not great for late night watching when a scene with some loud music then comes on.
This x10.

What did Tim Roth and the lady that supposedly topped herself say to each other in the scene they shared before the supposed toppage?

Binge watched the whole set yesterday and was relieved when it ended. Found the plot farcical. How could the chief of police being allowed to behave that way for so long. Hope S2 is better.

I agree with all the above. It's very enjoyable though especially Tim Roth and the French Herr Starr.

You *have* watched Fargo I hope?

Of course it's not real... it's TV!

Having said that, I'm on ep 6 and have serious issues.

I was hoping it'd get better due to the presence of Roth. I was wrong.

Watched ep 1, not impressed. Age old rehashed storyline of a small town battling a big oil company, reminded me of that horrendous Stephen Segal film.

English/Irish family yet have the archetypal American brat who speaks like a 2 year old with the classic bell end haircut they seem to favour.

Does it get better?

Finished watching it last night. Enjoyed it. The Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave in the soundtrack are probably all you need to know about the tone of the thing.

Belt fed it last week. Enjoyed it on the whole.Scenery is truly something else...........and Hendricks lick

thought the Security bloke got slotted a bit too easy though. Echo what others said about the chief being able to cut around willy nilly towards the end. What baffles me is why the 2 other officers allowed him to drink and disappear as much as he did throughout?

Loved it.

Binged over 3 days, thought it moved quickly, nice bit of action, fun too.

I like the way it goes back and forward and tricks you with what it shows you.

Just crazy enough to be entertaining and just enough realism to keep it interesting.

The first episode itself was brutal and had me hooked.

Just finished it, not sure what to make of it. Is that it, maybe a bit cheated? Of course there'll be another series, they didn't finish this one.

Just finished the series, Ep 9 was the most interesting.
Overall, rather too slow - they could probably have squeezed it into 6 or 8 episodes and kept it moving a little quicker.
The ending was ultimately something of a letdown. Could almost have guess it.

Average, overall.

I'd agree with average, in fact can't quite bring myself to go for 5/10 so it's 4/9.

I'm not sure what it was but it just didn't gel. I'm not sure if the casting was wrong, the directing or maybe the writing but something just didn't work. There was some huge errors that I can't believe they didn't notice in the edit or production, I know it's not a factual show but it could at least make an effort.

It's pish.

After a promising, atmospheric first episode, I've half-heartedly sat through another six episodes, but I'm not sure I can be bothered to see it to conclusion (especially since others have deemed the ending underwhelming).

I was excited by the trailer, the premise & Roth's involvement, and really wanted to enjoy it, but aside from the gorgeous cinematography, it's a bit of mess - jarring, heavy-handed music; choppy editing with totally needless time-jump/flash-back gimmicks; OTT supporting characters; slow & meandering plotting; and nowhere near as clever or weird as it reckons.

Still, at least it can console itself that it's not as terrible as 'Riviera'.
