Although it's been thrashed to death, what if you fail? I have tried a few on line HC questions, and it's so easy to get a fail by getting a few questions wrong. Give it a go.
Surely that's the whole point?? If you get questions on the Highway Code wrong then you are probably not driving in a manner in accordance with the Highway Code, for example, remaining in the middle lane after overtaking and not pulling back to the left.
Making people remember the HC is a good thing, not remembering is a bad thing. Simples.
I got some wrong which are applicable to towing, then again I have and probably never will tow anything. Many should know more than they obviously do, MLM's for example, box junctions seem to confuse some, and these are every day occurances.
And so many many have absolutely no idea what DYL's mean

IE it's a lack of experience which is dangerous, not the absolute age you learn to drive.
When I learned to drive at 18, there was an expectation amongst our peers to drive quickly, and anyone who didn't satisfy this criteria was branded a "James May" (as I was). There's a comprehensive school not far from me, and the local six formers drive like idiots in their superminis, and I always see them with a full car.
So, in my experience at least, I feel that the absolute age plays a role in irresponsible driving.

However, if you have a minimum driving age of 25, it would make a huge difference.
I suspect all it would do is make the most dangerous driving age 25 to 26 yo, rather than 17 to 18 yo! IE it's a lack of experience which is dangerous, not the absolute age you learn to drive.Get an insurance quote online as a 19 y/o with a full licence 2 yrs. Then change it to 50 y/o who passed yesterday, keeping all other details the same. And see the price reduce by about 75%.
I loved the old Air force gang turning up mob handed and the old dear who did the Yoga was truly exceptional. Nut it was viewing from behind the Sofa for some of them and hopefully they will have taken the sound advice and stopped driving. The one I remember in particular was a lady who revved the nuts out of the Car and rode the clutch but she was adamant that she would not stop. maybe doing random testing for all ages wouldn't be a bad thing.

The lady who revved her Picanto a little excessively ^^^^^^ was the one featured at the end,on a mobility scooter.
She heeded the advice.
She seemed to be quite an angry person not sure why and maybe there was a reason for it but she should not have been driving and I think her Daughter was very pleased to see her stop. She heeded the advice.
The old woman from the Isle of Wight was up in a Spitfire for her 100th :-)
