I saw the twice last week... IMAX 3D and 2D, after dusting off my BR Directors Cut the previous weekend.
For me, the time, the pace of it was an integral part of the movie. I wasn't expecting the pace of a Terminator, Aliens or I Root movie.

Of course I Robot.

Back up to number 1 in the UK box office (after slipping to second last week).
Can't remember the last time that happened......not that I'm a avid follower of UK box office information.
It's US domestic take is about the same as The Emoji Movie at the moment. Depressing. Can't remember the last time that happened......not that I'm a avid follower of UK box office information.
I saw it last night as time was short to see it at the pictures.
As expected, visually it was very impressive which is as one would expect with Roger Deakins behind the lens. Story-wise, it was a bit of a plod but it I think it will be one worth a second viewing. Ana de Armas, my word what a beauty. Music score was good too, and I note Hans Zimmer was involved.
Wallace's involvement seemed to be unresolved, unless I missed something
For me, 7/10

Wallace’s has no defining back story beyond the brief text explaining how he got got into the Replicant business... that and others key moments in the film, IMO, certainly give hints & scope to the possibility of a third movie and from Wiki:As expected, visually it was very impressive which is as one would expect with Roger Deakins behind the lens. In October 2017, Villeneuve said that he expected a third film would be made if 2049 was successful. Hampton Fancher, the writer of both Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049, also revealed that he was considering reviving an old story idea involving Deckard travelling to another country, and Ford said that he would be open to returning if he liked the script.
I would love to see a 3rd movie but critical success and cult status alone won’t get it done. Hollywood likes big profits, hence stuff like the Fast and Furious franchise... entertaining rubbish but it puts bums on many seats. Bladerunner was never going to do that. I’m hoping it’ll bring in a decent enough profit to justify completing the story.
my theory is Wallace is a nexus 8 that due to the blackout has managed to position himself where he is. Had his eyes removed and replaced so he can’t be tested. Both him and the replicant rebels have the similar aims. The replicant rebels would probably want to live alongside humans, Wallace wants replicants to replace them.

OK... I guess that is actually a fairly plausible theory, and would explain the whole 'no eyes' thing. vsonix said:

You don't need eyes to check that though. for example they checked Rachels skeleton and found her serial number there, so a biopsy of a small sample can be checked easily, even if the eyes are not thereDigger said:
Can anyone explain K’s debriefing sessions and the repeating of words and phrases?
I thought it was the newer and more sophisticated version of the Voight-Kampff test as seen in the previous film. The nexus 8 being more advanced would have probably pass the old test with ease. This version seems to use provocative phrases interspersed with keywords. Basically he has to completely ignore the provocation and just repeat the keywords. When we first meet him he does this without batting an eyelid (literally) but in his last test he takes too long to respond, his breathing is accelerated, he swallows convulsively and he is blinking a lot. He still manages to say the keywords but his reaction times and bodily responses show he is way off his normal baseline.Precisely - and the full text of the baseline test is here:
