I've finished all this and the last two were brutal and brilliant

However - I felt that Frank should have gone in for dinner and I was dissapointed that we didn't see that much of Karen, I genuinely thought they might have connected more but maybe that's for the next season...
You need to see Frank in Daredevil... He appears in Season 2, Ep. 2.
The Punisher is the series that explains who he is and why he did what he did in Daredevil.

Daredevil 1 and 2 are pretty good, brutality is about a 9-9.5. Frank is already all the way up to 11 he's on it in S2.

Plus you'll get the full story of Karen.

I know the back story with Karen and it's a bit of a sad one and clearly has left its mark on her

And the brutality is indeed at 11...

He would've never made it through basic training for the Marines, nevermind anything more specialist.
There’s blokes of all shapes and sizes in the Marines (and paras for that matter) and some of the ones I’ve known to successfully pass UKSF have been a similar size. Carrying weight slowly for long distances is more about physical endurance and pain threshold. I’ve also know the more muscly bodybuilder types struggle because of their mass and encouraged to lose weight in training.

Just finishing episode 9.
Was really looking forward to this series as the movie was pretty good. I think it’s biblically slow and boring. :/

I am loving it because of the pace. Too many mainstream shows seem to rush things along. Enjoyed every epidode. Two to go, and then cannot wait for season two.

I wish the Jack Reacher films had been a bit more like this, and with Jon Bernthal as Reacher.

I much prefer stuff done this way... more time can be spent developing characters, dialogue and plot. Film/Movies stars are moving in this area for that reason... Jack Reacher is definitely one that would work well as a Netflix drama.
I still love movies though so won’t be abandoning the cinema anytime soon.

Good choice, but Bernthal is still too small to play Reacher

True! But a step in the right direction from Tom Cruise!

Just finished.
Good series, brutal in places but a bit happily ever after at the end.
The usual annoyance/plot armour, the ace shots missing at critical moments.
And the rather obvious thing that's going to happen with the surviving baddie.

The best TV I've watched all year.

Just finished the last episode and could easily start all over again.

Just finished it. Really enjoyed it despite some flaws. Brutal and vivid.

May have to give DD a watch from what people have said on here.

You won’t be disappointed. The best Marvel series for me. Not quite as brutal as The Punisher but some epic fight scenes.

Fantastic series, enjoyed pretty much every episode and the level and realism of the brutality was unexpected. The guy can take a beating, that's for sure.

Enjoyed it that much I had to watch daredevil. Really liked that too but found myself more interested in the punisher character than daredevil. Wilson Fisk was brilliant.

The punisher prison fight is one of the best bits of TV I've seen in a long time, spectacular.

Watched a few, but it seems a bit dull to me.

Like a violent A team. Does it really change and develop much?

The story certainly develops, but at the same pace. I liked it was kinda slow and didn't rush the story.

I've watched a few more episodes, but it's just too slow for me.

There's a lot to be said for developing the story and characters, but this feels more like Walking Dead like padding, where maybe 5 minutes of each episode actually adds something and the rest is just watching people in offices or hideouts, discussing nothing much at all..

Firmly on my personal back burner for now.
