Watched both episodes so far and found it a decent watch even if the first episode was a bit graphic. Those were the times they lived in I suppose. Enjoying Gatiss' performance as Robert Cecil.

Very well produced but it got far too graphic for my liking and I turned it off.

A shame as I was enjoying it up to "that" point, but that sort of graphic content is not for me I'm afraid.
I was really looking forward to this, but too many reports like this for my liking so gonna have to give it a miss.

Appreciate this is all probably a good reflection of the times, but I was more fascinated to see more about the actual 'story' as was hoping it'd be more focussed on that than the gore. frown
You bedwetters are hilarious. Can't make it through a BBC drama? Good grief.

Paul, there is perhaps fifteen minutes of gore, violence and torture in the whole thing and it's not particularly graphic. There is another two hours and 45 minutes of story and exposition.

When I heard about the outcry after the first episode, I actually went back and watched again to see what I had missed the first time I watched it. Can't really see what all the fuss is about to be honest. In fact, I wonder if it's the BBC's self publicity machine that's behind the complaints.

What dirt on which person at the BBC does Mark Gatiss have?

I enjoyed it. I must have a different idea on what constitutes exces gore to others here. Didn’t bother me in the slightest.

Agree, not sure why some are becoming so exercised over it.

Caught up with the second episode last night, really enjoyed it.
