Glad the gf got shot.
Hopefully he grows some balls, goes on the offensive publicly, shoots some people.
At which point he turns in James bond and sh#gs some good looking eastern European

As long as they do not leave it open for another series. Life is just too short.

Each episode seems to be slow for 50mins and then we get 10mins of action at the end. Still enjoying it though and will persevere to the end.
they still bottled it at the end, assassin shoots her once in stomach so she survives (but of course will lose baby he never knew he had, cue emotional meltdown and revenge)Adam B said:

Didn't Joseph arrive just in time to prevent her administering the coup de grâce? At that point, only she knew that Rebecca was pregnant, so it wasn't Vadim's plan to cause her to lose the baby.
Yes he did - not saying Vadim meant to kill baby, but the (presumably professionally-trained) assassin didn't shoot in head/chest or multiple times. A proper closing scene would have seen the gf, the mum and the father's gf all taken out permanently.Edited by Adam B on Monday 29th January 14:11

Anyone know why it was called McMafia? I assumed there was some sort of Scottish connection but there isn't. It seems to be about Russians in London .

In an early episode (1 or 2 I think) the Jewish guy tells us how Burger King could take business away from McDonalds if it wished to do so. He explains how Burger King would open 3 restaurants near each McDonalds leading to patrons spending their money at one of the 3 BK's rather than McD's. This is the model he uses to start upsetting the Ruskies operation.
I'm finding it vaguely gripping and enjoyable, but think the story is weak. If you're balls deep in Russian mob action knowing a st storm is approaching, are you really going to sit there and scratch your arse for a few weeks to see what happens?
Feels like we're headed for a series 2.
