I do not buy on Amazon on principle for what they are doing.

Sadly I am alone in my thoughts on these global monstrosities taking over the world. Anyone seen Wall E

Anyone who doesn’t have Amazon Prime is crazy - on the stuff you buy all the time it pays for itself plus the Grand Tour and so many others films shows etc.

Add in Top gear wheeler dealers car sos new one about to start chasing classic cars diesel brothers gas guzzlers and shirt lifters then we are all catered for.
I rarely buy off Amazon and the Grand Tour is widely available to steal without paying anything so no I'm not crazy ??
Fixed that for you. I fking hate content pirates.

You say you hate these global monstrosities, but watched Wall-E? A Disney film. The same Disney that now owns how much of the world's entertainment industry?

As I understand Amazon they are bringing streaming and super cheap tv to millions globally really challenging the Sky model. Driving down subscription costs.

They employ a lot of people in the U.K. be it the depot or the dispatch.
They sell themselves and also allow joe Bloggs to selll on the site too.

The owner is challenging Elon with his own space race

What do you not like? Curious.

I personally dislike Debenhams but that’s due to the range they offer - pretty fuddy duddy big size mum style. That’s my reason so I have not been in for years.

What not to like? You certainly wouldn’t want a job at one their warehouses.

From he news it appears to be very automated?

How about Tesco depots or Sports direct or whatever

Given I don’t have a career or desire one in depots or need a job to cover a career break/inbetween jobs then frankly why does it matter to me.
For the individuals who work there if they don’t like it then find a different job OR if it differs from the job specification / role and responsibilities then internal complaint is the way forward.

So how does all that stop you wanting to use Amazon as a customer?

I know 2 people that got jobs at one, both left within weeks. They're struggling to get locals to work there.

Meanwhile, in completely unrelated news, Top Gear is coming back soon, and I'm looking forward to it.

Indeed, after the general 'meh' of Grand Tour season 2 (with the notable exception of the Lancia/Audi rally bit) it will be good to get back to Top Gear.

I would if I was unemployed. Would you rather not work?

It's not good, but I have less sympathy for Amazon.

They don't exactly pay their dues.

i smiled when the trailer came on. There has been a dearth of watchable automotive TV recently.

I've got tickets for next Tuesday, it's a flippin long drive for me but I've always wanted to go.

I was wanting to take my 16yo son, but noticed you have to be 18, so I'm going with the gf (call it a Valentine's gift) wink
