It's a test of physical and mental stamina. Someone who has trained incorrectly has at least prepared and given it a go. Someone who opts out because their imaginary sky fairy might be offended is just a tt.
exactly. People train, using the moniker 'gym-bunny' as a pejorative is a bit disingenuous. THey are trying to compete...whereas some st who believes in twaddle walks out immediately, pretty disgraceful. the guy didn't even try to argue with him that much, most likely because he knew it was horsest
To me it wasn't the fact he walk off its the reason he did that bothers me, he feels that it's wrong for males and females to closely cohabitate.

To me it's just another example how incompatible his faith is with rest of western society.

He wasn't just on the wrong program he's in the wrong century.
So in 21st century Britain it is the done thing for men and women to poo next to each other?

Next time you visit a public lavatory can I suggest you put your 21st century values to the test and use the Ladies? Please do tell us how acceptable it was.
It's also not the done thing in 21st century Britain to be mentally and physically bullied, let alone be subject to tough interrogation.
rofl It is if you want to survive in Special Forces.

That was my point...its not a garden party, it's a SF selection (well a TV version). 21st century etiquette doesnt figure much in combat.

FFS! I doubt any of the contestants like pooing next to other people - whether its a man, woman or gender-fluid unicorn in the next stall.
Its a bit of luck the stupid prick bailed when he did, as I imagine there will be several other things taking place that are "not the done thing in 21st century Britain" which might have upset him.

pretty underwhelmed by the women's performance in that first episdode, either sandbagging at the back or crying.
I suspect this is all editing and that they will rise out of the ashes in later episodes and crush the inferior males under their hobnailed stilettoes.
I do wonder why they allowed the muslim guy on the show for all of 2 minute, that was a complete waste of a contestant spot. Just a little bit of background checking by the researchers would have flagged him as unsuitable for a modern show with real women in it.

Will keep watching for more views of lovely Louise, she has amazing eyes.

Perhaps they didn't tell them it would include women. But also they need cannon fodder to fk off early.

I suspect they keep some "surprises" from the contestants jyst to unbalance them for the first few days.

Probably told them it would be somewhere cold for 2 weeks, but didn't tell them about the opposite sex, mixed dorms, toilets, altitude, etc. It's surprising how much little surprises like this can negatively affect people.

I'd hate to think of having to relax enough to poo with people just milling about! It'd play havoc, possibly, with my business trips.

Try having a poo while your mate holds the clingfilm for you...

Bit late to this

The Swedish SF was the archetypal "grey man" didn't stand out, quietly went about her work. Was clearly trying to get the others to keep going. you can see why you passed her countries tests
19 Year old who wants to be a RMC. Oh fk off you useless ! Emotional wreck
Whilst I feel for the girl that had been raped. Not sure this is the best way for her to overcome her trauma.

Firefighter guy. He's got to be a candidate for overall winner!

To be fair, in previous shows there was no requirement to defecate next to a female, and I am not sure he was briefed that there could be such close proximity. In the real SAS/SBS there isn't. At the end of the day it is a game show so why compromise deeply held beliefs for a game show?

Someone who doesn't understand that not all people think alike is just a tt.
It may be 'only a gameshow', but the whole point of this show is that it is supposed to be the toughest one around, and therefore it should be apparent to anyone signing up that they will be expected to put up with extreme conditions with every aspect of life, be it food, sleep, accommodation, toilet, tasks - everything. If you go onto this show expecting any kind of allowances/dispensations/special treatments, you're naive in the extreme.

Also, your point that "it is just a game show" doesn't help his case - there was no need for him to have signed up for it - it's not like national service where he had no choice.

Exactly. I like the idea of doing the physical aspects of this show. But I dont want to share a dorm with 20 odd strangers and st in an outside trap in full view of everyone. Which is why i would never enter it, that and the wife wouldn't let me.

Every season 1 or 2 fetch up with seemingly no clue what to expect and immediately fk off.

Exactly! They even have been known to put camo cream on their bums to keep hidden when pooping. Or just scoff a load of immodium and worry about the fall out much later. The old ration biccies used to have AB written on them...it stood for Anal Blocker (aparently)

I love Foxy, he is brilliant. Foxy and Ants books are really good but I would say Ants is more interesting.
