Yet, with regard to the cars anyway, they don't actually do any of the builds they take credit for. They're trying to be the UK's 'Fast & Loud' and failing miserably. The Facebook comments are funny though and when I questioned why they were taking credit for other peoples work they banned me.
Do we know who actually does the work? The Mini looked a simple case of just bolting together loads of bits they'd bought...Jazzy Jag said:

But who in their right mind pays £39k for a Mini??
Nobody. Their cars all end up on eBay once the season ends. The Capri they ruined last season included all the invoices from the actual builders. GWG Facebook page blocked me when I asked about it. The number of positive reviews was also hugely suspicious given what dross the actual show is.But who in their right mind pays £39k for a Mini??
£39,000 laughable. A stooge mate obviously. I wonder where the car will appear for sale ?
At least they didn't splurge any cash on instruments as those BL originals looked absolutely brilliant in the Carbon Fibre.
Not incongrous at all.
Gold Bezels made all the difference.
Absolute tripe and insulting to the intelligence of any person with, in my opinion, a genuine affinitywith or love of cars.
Won't be watching any more episodes as my blood pressure probably wouldnt stand it.

I actually thought that Mini looked OK.
But I don't understand what the point of buying a knackered old 1275GT and then not using the engine, body, interior or... errrr, anything, was. Presumably all they used was the numberplate. Which, interestingly, shows SORN and hasn't had an MOT since 2013. Yet apparently drove from London to Brighton, not to mention to their "workshop" in the first place. Now, either they build sloooooow or...

The 'parts' list seemed to have forgotten the subframes, the suspension, the brakes, lights, wiring, battery, glass, wheels & tyres!! I wonder just what it did cost then? The only bit that they 'did' was the grill, which was awful !!
I'm surprised they kept the original registration as looked like pretty much everything was brand new in the car.eccles said:

The vehicle's identity is in the chassis or monocoque shell, and it's allowable to use "a new chassis or monocoque bodyshell of the same specification as the original".https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/rebuilt-ve...
I know of a garage local to me who when I popped in a couple of years ago with my 1961 GMC Apache had the lifted Apache in their yard. Apparently they were tasked with “putting it right” before it was to be sold. I believe they also did the same with the Capri. At the time a quick internet search directed me to a car broker who was trying to shift everything from the whole series. There were some very ambitious prices at least 70% more than I felt they were worth.
From memory the Apache didn’t even get a new engine. Crated V8s are cheap as chips relative to the price they wanted. The interior was woeful. The fact that it needed putting right says everything to me.
