"Sold" to a mate. Yeah, 'course it was, luv.
The Mini “sold” to a mate too.

I’d like to predict that the next project will sell to a “mate” who is a “proper petrolhead”.

Also £61k for a ‘88 316i with a bodykit. laugh

I missed the start, what engine did they put in it? Just that at the end it really looked to be struggling to spin the rear wheels up and so it was doing some pretty embarrassing 'donuts'!

Iirc it had a 3.0 six cylinder engine dropped into a 318.

She bought someone else's unfinished project for way too much money and then proceeded to throw more money at it.

Also did anyone else pick up on Jimmy's explanation of how the nut ended up in the cylinder of the motor bike? silly

Cheers, surely that would have had enough poke to light the rear wheels up more than that though?

And yeah, I noticed that with the nut laugh

I only watch the first and last 5 or so minutes to laugh at what they’ve bought and allegedly sold it for to preserve my sanity.
What happened?

He removed the head on a 100cc Honda engine and found a nut sat on top of the piston.
He then said it was one of the valve adjustment nuts.

How would a valve adjustment nut get into the cylinder with someone dropping it through the spark plug hole?

Oddly there was no sign of head or piston damage and a light bore honing fixed it.

Caught the last 20 minutes of the 'Bimma' build.
Felt like I'd been transported back to the 90's and a Max Power show

I love this show, yes it's bloody awful, but that's the brilliance of it!

I watched some of the Porsche episode with my head in my hands and the rest of it just made me laugh. I'd love to know where they get their ideas from, particularly weird stuff like what was done to the sills. The grey bit they painted on the front of the car made the front end look like it was a very odd shape and they seem to love a bodykit even though the cars look better without them.

I saw the Capri they did in series 1 at a show the other day, it looked like a lot of money had been spent on it and the quality of the work looked pretty decent although it was hard not to be distracted by the side pipes and horrible grille which were still fitted. The new owner has had the sense to change the wheels.

The 944 is showing as taxed an Mot'd until November, so I guess that was before they pulled the front end of it. All that money on a paint job to then rattle can the graphics too !

Great programme.

Quote " a track car has to be road legal". So they removed the Porshe headlamps!! Did I spot a roll cage? How long will a well-worn engine last with 350 Turbo BHP? Any extra cooling provided? What the hell does a track car need spot lamps for? The proposal sketch looked like, er, a standard Porshe. The body kit was off the shelf, and someone fitted and painted it for them. Why do they have such a bloody big workshop, and do nothing in there? Finally, the insignificant bit this week was making some dial rings, and buggering up the anodising. Priceless. Halfords could've probably done all that.

Do they really expect us to believe that tattoo girl drove the laps at the end; the windscreen was opaqued for the long shots while the in car shots had all the drama of a Sunday afternoon drive with Grannie.

As for the mug that apparently bought it for £26K well there is an expression in Scotland, " Do you think I came up the Clyde on the last banana boat?", he clearly did.

I noticed the screen reflection going a bit iffy on the flying laps. Also the heavily tinted visor when the bike was doing the hill climb.

I've given up totally with this formulaic ad filled annoying nonsense - which applies to pretty much everything on Quest.
The future is Youtube, that's the only place I watch car stuff now - because there is so much of it and it is so good - and honest.
If you haven't dipped your toe there yet start with Project Binky

Other favourites of mine include Hoovies garage and Weston Champlin for some authentic Mid west truck spannering. After binge watching Barn Find Hunter I have promised myself a visit and a mooch around the dry states for a British classic.

Why the flying F would Ducati "commission" him to build a hill climb bike from a Scrambler, when they already make the Hypermotard?
