I'm not a fan of his over enthusiastic presenting style but I'll dare bet he's a lot more knowledgeable than most of his knockers on here. I have to say that goblin works is absolutely rubbish tv though .
He's done well to keep it hidden here. smile Even the bit he did on Fifth Gear was devoid of any actual expertise. Odd given his knowledge.

The whole faux deal at the end of each show is just pointless. It could have been a very different show had they left their egos and hipster ethos at home. Saying artizan repeatedly does not make you artizan.
Remember the Honda SL100?

He removed the head on a 100cc Honda engine and found a nut sat on top of the piston. He then said it was one of the valve adjustment nuts.

How would a valve adjustment nut get into the cylinder without someone dropping it through the spark plug hole?

Oddly there was no sign of head or piston damage and a light bore honing fixed it.
Either a woeful lack of knowledge or a woeful lack of telling the director to "ps off and don't be so stupid!". smile

I wonder how much of it is "presenter doesn't know what they're talking about" or "presenter knows they're talking rubbish, but has got a decent deal and it might be a stepping-stone to something better, so they'll say anything even if they're dying a little inside."

Having seen that DeVille bloke on other stuff, I think the crap comes naturally.

I would rather watch the same episode of Bangers And Cash on a loop until I die , than watch these clowns. DeVille is woeful and the bike guy.. jesus.

Just watching the latest one, the Mercedes "off roader". I cannot believe what a hideous pile of poo they are creating, they make Bernie and Leepu look like Crosthwaite & Gardiner.

I’m developing a very unhealthy morbid fascination for this pile of crap. On the plus side the scenery was stunning. The complete opposite to the automotive abortion they managed to build this time.

The sight of a bent front coil spring attached to some extender had me agast. I bet that Albanian garage guy was speechless.

And the rest. Going to Albani as their next business venture, to 'Break Europe'. 'If we get known there for our customizing, we can make a big splash' Who writes that crap? Buy a car that breaks down on the way home. Finds a bit of wire to fix it, how did that withstand 15psi from the cooling system? Fills the cooling system with only 3 bottles of water? Gets a dodgy crew to do the work. Wants a vehicle to go 'off-road' so massively weakens the body by cutting the roof off. Then a bodge weld across a door gap of 10mm to stiffen it !! Fixes a so-called rollover bar to a flimsy bit of sheet metal. Makes the suspension off-road by just lifting it 4", with an abortion of an extender. What happened to the resulting 3/4 degrees of positive camber that resulted? Needed to lengthen the track control arms. The front bumper was tack weld together, a pushbike could probably knock it off. The sump guard was about as effective as a Heinz baked bean tin. It apparently got hit on the final journey but looked straight when in the camera shot. Never did see the new dash fitted. Was that really the only road to Peshkopi? Faked up river crossing, we have bigger puddles where I live. Dire doesn't nearly say it, it's about the worst dross on TV.

I flicked it on, saw the spare wheel upright in the boot and turned it off. I just don't get why Quest so readily appear to throw cash at this series?

Going to Europe to establish the business- yeah right.
Maybe get a website first? And register the business?

GWG is a dormant company run by Jimmy alone. No mention of Helen or that Partridge bloke (may as well be Alan for all the use he is).

Are we really supposed to believe that this is a viable business? It took 4 months to do that crap Volvo as a commission without customer involvement, and all for about £5k profit!

Move over Apple, the new kids on the block have rewritten the book.

Anyone can stretch credibility a bit but these muppets are abusing the privilege.

Flipping Bangers doesn't pretend to be anything they are not though. Reminds me of the very early Wheeler Dealers.

They do pretend that they have given up their day jobs and are surviving as a business.

Clearly they aren't as they barely make enough profit to cover the rent.

Looked like the front number plate was cable tied on. I wonder if they watch something like bhin Rides and think they’re as good.

Cable ties applied by an Artisan using his Artisan skills.
