The stuff I've subscribed to is:
Jay Lenos Garage (of course)
Petrolicious (variable but some outstanding stuff)
TrionicSeven (if you are in to Saab 95s)
Harrys Garage (The Evo bloke, great cars and great knowledge, he drives exotics to Italy regulalry)
Number 27 (90s Porsche and Italian stuff, buying a classic 500 and driving it "home" was interesting)
Bjorn Nyland (Running a Tesla in Norway - interesting look at the practicalities although I find his presentation style a bit annoying)
and my current favourite:
Home built by Jeff (An Aussie bloke who has put together a fabulous orange 911 and is now working on a 240z)
You may also enjoy these selections from my list:
George Karellas: Highly recommended, documenting his rebuilds of a Lotus Esprit, original Range Rover, and now a Cortina, also interviews people in the industry.
Praemio: Similar content to Petrolicious and to the same high standard, non-car content also mixed in there
Retropowercars: Retropower, they've recently started documenting their build of a Mk1 Escort for a certain Gordon Murray (no pressure lads...)
B is for Build: Along the lines of Home Built by Jeff, but more, ahem, "inventive" with regard to rebuild techniques and thoroughness. YMMV here...
Speed Academy: Two Canadians focusing on track and race car builds
Hagerty: The US classic car insurance company, they have a great series 'The Barn Hunter'.

Non-build related channels:
Misha Charoudin: Nurburging race based instructor, vlogs the goings-on at Apex Nurburg and also the suppliers and industry around it, along with other randomness. Provides great insight.
Carfection: Motoring reviews, recently joined by Henry Catchpole

Goblin FaceBook page comments are quite amusing. Especially where ''the maverick one'' says how ''TV work is the hardest most stressful work there is''.

Anyone have a link to the ad for their Escort? Am just intrigued to see what it was that justified a £30K price tag given what else is out there for less money?

I think they "tried" to justify the 30K to cover all their costs ,that Zetec wasn't cheap and "only" 8K for a donor car that then got slightly bent.

To be fair I have not seen the programme apart from odd snippets ( the presenting style and earnest hipsterness put me off) but it appears that the modus opperandi is to get a classic and fk it up.

They did a modern engine conversion on an Escort which is common as people see them all the time at meets. Nil points for originality.

They then totally ruin a Land Rover making it pretty much useless for anything. Nil points for sensitivity or brains.

And judging from a glimpsed trailer on TV last night they have taken an MGB, took the windscreen off, stuck a plastic iddy biddy useless aeroscreen on it, added a pathetic rollover hoop, and say they have totally transformed the looks.

Absolute garbage and an insult to car enthusiasts everywhere.

What else is there on the box for a vicarious mechanic such as me as I only managed 5 minutes of the wrapping idiot with his "thousands of social meeja fans " turning up at car meets just to see him and his somewhat challenged operatives? Cretinous drivel.

What with WD being ruined by Ant Anstead whose garage career spans such successes as Ant-Khan cars, Evanta in various guises all of which went pearshaped, and a clutch (swidt) of presenting jobs whereby the mechanicing was actually done offsite by experts ie not him, theres not a decent workshop based programme on the TV.

Someone should get Guy Martin and Ed in a workshop and not let them out until they have a 12 part series in the editing suite.

Just imagine the Frankenstein cars that could come out of that collaboration.

Cheers,

Tony

I like Car SOS except I cannot stand the phoney 'blagging' by the big useless one. Cringeworthy.

You're right about the phoney blagging, although I chalked it up to their just trying to inject some humour, albeit unsuccessfully. His lame attempt to change his voice for the narration grates a bit too. I guess I find this easier to forgive because a) I know Fuzz actually does a great job and b) the genuine emotion when they give the cars back.

Am about to have a glance at the new program with Drew what'shisface in a minute,

Thanks for some new recommendations.

I actually stumbled across Number 27 and his driving a Fiat 500 home from Italy last year. Enjoyed that, but hadn't been back to see any more. Been catching up on some of them. Mostly excellent.

Tonight apparently the Goblins work their magic on an MGB roadster.

If you don't mind spoiling the reveal, it's for sale here: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C878681

The trailer for tonight's show clearly shows how they've improved/ruined* it.

Great, an MG with no roof, bumpers, windscreen or door handles. I wonder how much more you'd have to pay for an MG you can't drive in the rain?

Tim isn't the narrator.

Well I'll be blowed. I honestly thought it was Tim trying not to sound like Tim, if that makes sense? Well there you go, every days a schooldays. smile

I must admit I also thought it was Tim trying to do a serious voice. It took quite a few episodes before I realised.
