Goblin Works Garage on Quest
Discussion
To quote the Boomtown Rats;
“ It’s a wrap trap...& you’ve been caught”
( The Mini one, looked sun bleached... I had a Mk2 Escort bonnet in that colour in 1980... OK after a bit of. T-cut though)
The Merc wasn’t too bad / passable... but not sure about the
bodged suspension.
( ‘“ I haven’t done this before / don’t know if it will work”) etc.
IS THAT SAFE OR LEGAL.

That lowering thing on the Mercedes is the same 'trick' as on a Bentley Continental GT. As soon as he mentioned it, I knew he was going the bodge route. It works, but I'm not sure if it breaks.
Don’t forget inform the insurers then... be fine.“Bodge the builder” springs to mind,

last nights VW build was basic.
I know they didn't 'modify' the front twin seat, only installed it ...... but what a bit of engineering, who every did it.
Think they could have gone a leap forward and constructed this ...
It was about 1/2 an hour after dicking about that they actually did something... was waiting for the TV & Games console to drop down from the roof. ( Disappointed).I know they didn't 'modify' the front twin seat, only installed it ...... but what a bit of engineering, who every did it.

Another zinger which I watched in around five minutes.
The motorbike lady said something along the lines of, understated is best, my bike's worth a lot of money. I sat there thinking, I bet they put a side window in it. They did, but at least they tinted it. I expected them to have left it plain.
The seats were hideous!!! They looked like cheap ebay seat covers! The 'stealth look' was awful too, ooh matt black wrap, how original!!
Basically if she's wanted somewhere for her family to go (which they still couldn't do as the extra row of seats only goes in if her bike & stuff doesn't) she should have just bought a car and left the van as it was.

Throw your camping gear in this one... & buy a cheap van for ya bikes. All this ‘personal’ touches are fine, until you want to flog it.The motorbike lady said something along the lines of, understated is best, my bike's worth a lot of money. Another load of dross. We always have to have a 'test drive' at the start, complete rubbish. Quite why they had to go up a bloody Welsh mountain to 'test' insulation beats me. The manufacturer's plaster the dam details on the packaging. The conversion, it was another 'Halford' job, they did virtually nothing. All the major work was done by others, and lots magically appeared completed.
While I'm wasting my time, why do they have to have car bits 'artistically' decorating the walls of their shed ? Huge tools boxes lurk around, and about all that gets used could be found in an IKEA house basic maintenance tool kit.

100% !!
Also, just before she shouted them both to come & look at the van they were basically doing nothing. One was marking out some metal with a marker (I doubt he was going to drill it or do something with it) the other one may as well have been taking a dump.

Does this mean the rust will bubble through the wrap at some later stage?

That Merc looked worse when they had finished than when it went in. Lots of video shots of the illegal number plate made it even more cringeworthy. Not Pimp my Ride levels of garbage but some of the things they do to the vehicles just look awful. TonyRPH said:

Don’t want much does he... what a heap.
Surely... those Artisans can’t make it any worse...or can they.
Nope... He didn’t look too impressed.
They tried the big sell though... “ Basically, you gave as a piece of c**p... you should be grateful”.
Got the feeling, they were glad to see the back of it... no messing around & just whipping the cover off.
