Priceless. Posts pics showing different liveries to prove that they have the same liveries. hehe

I guess you're not very good at those "Spot the Difference" puzzles posted in newspapers and puzzle books? wink

Leaving aside the obvious annoyances of the programme, it was at least nice that they gave a decent bit of time to the people who were doing work on the car. I learned more about the ins and outs of wrapping a car than I did in as much of the first series of "Yianni: Supercar Customiser" as I could stand, and the sequence on the steering wheel was interesting too.

I thought the Capri looked pretty good, but I wasn't impressed with the interior - the drivers seat looked quite wobbly, and the fabric also looked loose - apparently that cloth has a foam back that disintegrates over the years. Some of the shots of the new paint looked dodgy too, but that might have polished out.

Indeed so, my bad apologies all round. Note to self don't go doing research when tired and using a mobile phone smile. I have watched the show again, they did the wrap based on the year of the car, not the model of the car. An easy mistake to make I guess.

Personally I would have wrapped it in the San Remo livery. It's quite remarkable how many people over the years have modified their Integrales with incorrect/not standard parts. My 8 valve had a 16 valve bonnet, and a rear spoler, I have seen a number of 16 valves that have had Evo bonnets and Evo headlights. Most people I knew updated their integrales with non standard parts. Due to the original parts being hard to come by.

Needed a proper respray, not a wrap.

Nothing worse than bad 'rally rep' road car smash

I've just caught up with the latest episode and it does appear to be nowhere near as bad as the previous series.

The Capri looked good and whilst I thought he was being a bit of a nobber about the seats they did suit it better. Agree that they could have got some more money by selling off the registration plate separately though.

I did enjoy seeing some of the parts guys, especially the steering wheel bloke, without either Tim Shaw doing his annoying blags or Mike Brewer wanting to have a go.

I'm not sure that would have raised them all that much, a few hundred maybe. It didn't spell anything, to help raise the value. Personally I'd value the car with it's original plate higher than the same car with a swap, in terms of finding history of it, old photos, that kind of thing. Might just be me, though.

IME the plate may bring a couple of hundred, if they're lucky. As you write it's better to leave it on the car so the history is complete.

It's getting to look more and more like Wheeler dealers.
Buy a car, fix it up, and sell for tiny profit after doing loads of work with no breakdown of costs.

But with people even more annoying that Brewer.........!

At least WD had Edd to almost save it from Brewer's presence, and Car SOS has Fuz to almost save it from Shaw's presence.

Pritchard is at the bottom of the pile though - mad

Just watched a repeat of this week's durge.

Firstly ,did no one notice the Lancia Beta saloon that the VW woman had ?

His bumper modding ,so it worked in the end but car probably would have sold with the standard one fitted and saved

some money cutting it down the middle.

since when did fitting a sunroof make a Rover P6 more fun and a Hipster car ?

Personally I think the wheels were a size too small and they should of fitted the rear wing/spoiler.

I did, in the polytunnel in the background.

I agree, and it wasn't anywhere near as slim as I was expecting it to turn out. If the early cars had thinner bumpers, might it have been cheaper to get one of those instead, or are they hard to get?

I really like the Webasto roof in my Firenza, but that's mainly because it's always had it while I've owned the car (and in fact it turns out it was fitted six weeks after the car was first registered), and it's difficult to do much about. But I wouldn't take a car that didn't have one and stick one in now - my recent restoration tempted me as I have a spare roof, but I didn't do it in the end. I guess at least with the P6, they could include the standard roof with the car so the owner could revert it to a solid roof if they wanted to.

I didn't think those leather seats matched the rest of the interior, though. Tan door cards and really light grey / silver leather didn't look great to me.

Have I really just watched someone supposedly pay £1400 to fit a set of crappy metric TRX tyres on a 635csi?

Why on earth did the seller leave that registration on it?

I had to turn it off once the short bloke started banging on about his style and how great that old MG was. Did I say MG? I meant Aston Martin Shirley? Tit.

£342 each on Longstones website....!

I would bet that it was found in a garage after the owner dies, and sold by the estate executor, or distant family that have no idea/interest in cars.

Pritchard really is an annoying pratt of the highest order.
They were a good trim shop though, that did the interior.
But I was slightly bemused by the colour it ended up, as I was expecting this shade of Aston green judging by the photos in the book he was showing?

The MGC GT featured in the latest episode is on ebay at the moment for £29,995.

They cocked up with this one big style!

£4k put into it for an interior was really over egging it.

At least £10k over priced in the current market in my opinion so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

I wonder if it will ever be mentioned in the following episodes? I predict not.

Pritchard the Pratt is the one calling the shots though, you could see the other guy thought the Aston-Martin angle was a stupid idea.....

And why Pritchard thinks a colour change from factory original adds value is baffling to me, as its usually the opposite in my experience.

At least they didn't mess up the 635CSi.

Did it really need a repaint? (I only saw the bit where he was banging on about the importance of running tyres that most people would just bin) In the glimpse I saw it looked as if a bit of correction would have worked wonders.

I assumed they would have kept the wheels that were on the BMW so the new owner had the option to use the metric wheels for shows etc, but go back to "normal" wheels for daily use. Although I checked last night and it is SORN'd currently, so probably not a daily as such. As above too, not sure why the seller didn't keep the plate or at least raise the price to cover it. It did look nice when it was done though.
The MG seemed to be a vanity project to me, although a very nice one. Maybe if you were keeping it yourself you would splash out £4k on trimming (albeit pretty damn good trimming) and non-standard paint. The finished car did look very good, but not sure it looked £30k good.
