The programme is weak, its only a poor copy of others, talk to anyone in the world of tv, reality programmes are mostly fiction. The mini has no original history, very over priced.

I really want to like it.... But this ste about originally and that Mini was a bag of random Mini bits and a V5.

Interesting that all of the above was fixed in 24 hours if you look at the failure and pass dates. Yet when they took the car to the Huddersfield Mini Centre it was still missing its number plate light!!

I liked Drew in his previous shows and I really wanted to like this (which I did mostly) but he is a bit annoying in this.. possibly the bullst arty bits or acting like a low-rent Richard Rawlings...

... shame the elan +2 disappeared so quickly. I don’t agree changing the colour helped and it should have been a +2S but did look like a tidy example to start with - as was the golf actually... surprisingly so considering the chavvy mods it had collected

Surprised when they opened the bonnet there wasn't a big sigh and an ooohhhh.....given it was a Stromberg carb'd head.

Wasn't even mentioned......but, it appears neither of them actually know that much anyway, so perhaps not surprising.

Watched the Mini episode and didn't get why a specialist would buy it and blatantly ignore all the little faults or the fact it was a later shell? It looked nice enough but at that price it would need to be right surely?

A right old bitsa, Drew kept banging on about originality but the only 1969 items attached to it were probably the engine, gearbox and V5C, and the badges they used were off a Mk1 Cooper!
The engine wasn't the right one either. When they showed it before paint the block was clearly a later A+ engine.
The steering column had twin stalks, which like the engine started in the early 80's. The more you look at it the more it looks like a standard Mini 1000 from the early 80's that's had it's plates swapped form an earlier car.

If Yianni putting some film on a car doesn't tickle your fancy, Quest have a new car related show starting this week. It features Drew Pritchard (From the normal Salvage Hunters series, funnily enough!) and classic cars, presumably following a similar format.

As title, it starts this week (Today!) and continues each Wednesday at 9. I am fairly sure I read somewhere it is only a short series to test the water, but can't find confirmation of that.

Didn't see a separate thread on this, so just to mention here.

This Yiani guy, supercar customiser extraordinaire... tried watching an episode, basically he just wraps cars then? so putting sodding stickers on a car is customising it? Very disappointing.

Same old tired format they appear to use for loads of these programs. Faux jeopardy, fake deadlines and bull sales at the end.
