Would have looked better on a set of these, with appropriate suspension setup.

I prefer the Dunlop wheels over wires, but that is, of course, not much of an endorsement.

They didn't, but I dread to think. Car turned out nice though, apart from the flocked dash.

Probably wasn't much else they could do with the dash. Its quite a complicated shape, so even a re-trim in leather might not have been possible.

It did sound lovely though, although, it looked like they had lowered the rear suspension and left the front stock height, which made it look like a dog dragging it's arse....

A friend of mine used that company to make a badge for a 1928 Renault. He did not get any change from a grand!

Think it looked odd with brown interior and black dash, would a leather trim in brown for the dash not have looked better?

Keep it original drew at his best, changed badge to metal, why?

It's amazing that Drew didn't want to remove the lid from his never ending tin of black paint and change the colour.
The badge was totally pointless and expensive if the badge for my friend's 1928 Renault is anything to go by!
The dash would have looked good in brown leather. His friend Martin on Anglesey from The Restorers could have done that for him.
Every time he mentioned his godfather made me turn the sound off, especially after Ralph Inneson kept repeating Crew's every word!

Wasn’t keen on the rear number plate either. Looked oversized for the US sized aperture

I thought the suspension too low at the back too .

Beard observation.....nerd...flocking lady was doing a Escort MK3 dash when Drewpy first walked in .

Tyre writing total waste of money .

It's the FIAT 124 Spyder race car next week .

I missed how much the badges cost. It must’ve been a tidy sum considering the work that went into it. Tbh I didn’t like the flock dash. I’m surprised it couldn’t have be repaired and then covered with vinyl.

They didn't mention the badge cost, so I assume it wasn't cheap. As you say, by the time the dash had been repaired they may as well have covered it with vinyl, preferably in the same lovely brown. The flocking just looked out of place and I imagine is a dust magnet.

It cost a friend of mine £1,077 to have ONE badge made for a 1928 Renault so no, they are not cheap. Plus, he had to wait nearly five months!

I think you've mentioned that as many times as Drew mentioned his godfather smile

Dash covers of various types are available on ebay for a few hundred quid, would have looked better than flocking but that's not really the point is it.
It's an entertainment show so they try to bring a bit of variation to the show with specialist services, like the flocking company and the badge maker. They wouldn't do that if it was a proper car sales business trying to maximise profits.....and by the sound of it they didn't make any profit at all.
Why anyone would want a left hand drive 280Z when right hand drive 240/260s are reasonably abundant I don't know

The buyer mentioned he lived in Spain for 6 months of the year so said he would be taking the car out there and was quite happy to buy a LHD.
