The buyer mentioned he lived in Spain for 6 months of the year so said he would be taking the car out there and was quite happy to buy a LHD.
I must have switched off before the end, didn't hear that, but still, unless they had a buyer lined up before they bought it your market for LHD in the UK is severely limitedLARK F1 GTR said:
As mentioned, the dashboard was nice, but looked completely wrong in that car.
Him going on and on about his god father was tiresome. He could have mentioned him twice, but no.
Whilst driving around Brands Hatch. I was waiting for the old “I am a racing driver / have a racing licence” malarky.Him going on and on about his god father was tiresome. He could have mentioned him twice, but no.
Watched the Fiat 124 tonight, god I hate people who can make welding look easy, the roll cage welding was first class and then the guy made a new interior centre console and dash, no computer to design just drew around it with a felt tip pen the formed it over is knee before more designer welding of the aluminium
On the inside and outside, crotchet welding at its best, my welding looks like pigeon droppings so well impressed.
Usual drew nonsense wanting to put aluminium roof on it, is this done to see how many PH people complain about him?
Why did he paint the boot Matt black? Is this so the sun did not dazzle him when he went backwards off the track?
Looked the dogs bks when they had finished though, quite enjoyed it

I appreciate they can't cover every details, but unless I missed it they didn't mention how difficult it was to source the wheels or how much they cost.
Just like they didn't mention how much it cost to have those bespoke 280Z badge made for the Z-car last week.Or of course they are mates of the presenters.
( Probably wouldn’t get the products for their quoted price)

Agreed hate looking at great welding made look easy, burn the witch welders! Should have a go again but I cant make an excuse to buy a welder for only a reason to try welding again (university long time back). Way back I thought of building my own aeroplane from scratch. Got a copy of a video of how to weld up the tubing for the fuselage.
Guy demonstrates how easy it is to weld thin wall tubing, not. Started with simple T joint, looked easy then he went onto more complicated fabrications, ended up with a longeron with a vertical tube and a cross member but then included a diagonal, looked like a miniature oil rig structure. Each time he welded tubes he added “ just tack here and there then fill in between. His welding was beautiful, consistent spacing between welds and all the same size.
Made me decide to buy a wood and fabric two seater and leave welding to those who had the skills, the thought at being a 5000 feet in an aircraft which I had welded up was not for me. Even if a LAE had signed off the welding if I had managed to meet quality standards

Originality out of the window, again.
White steering wheel on a working vehicle? I don’t think so, OK for the military Police probably wore white gloves.
Interior naff, who needs that roof in the UK, unnecessary expense. How much did they spend in the end?
I fast forward the drew lectures on originality and his good taste so missed what it cost them.

Just over £17k was the total cost mentioned so a decent profit. White steering wheel on a working vehicle? I don’t think so, OK for the military Police probably wore white gloves.
