Thankfully they were held on with Bluetac and are hopefully in the bin now where they belong!

And the bumpers have been painted matt black in true racing style
Really? Nothing to do with the fact that the original chrome was shot and had either gone dull or been painted silver?
And did you notice that after the 'renovation' the front seat belts had disappeared? Weren't they a compulsory fitment for cars in the UK from 1967? (if this was first registered in 67; or is it exempt by being a re-import?)

On the plus side, I enjoyed the dashboard restoration bit and the metal work place had some interesting cars in there.

It's a shame really as they was an opportunity to be seized here. One aspect I do like is the visiting of small oneman band type craftsmen who clearly are doing sterling work, week in, week out. I'm glad they have got some exposure from it. The rest just seems to be a vehicle for pritchards vanity. Paul does his best in trying to rescue it but he's fighting a losing battle.

'Expert' Drew referred to the 928's 5-litre V8; not on a 1983 model!
I've just caught up on that episode and was thinking the same thing. Nice looking car at the end, but it didn't seem to have much go when he put his foot down at the beginning. I used to go looking at 928s when they were 5-7k, but the electrics were a bit off-putting even at that price.

I'm not sure I'd agree that "we were all driving Morris Minors" when the 928 was launched though, I think he's out by a decade.

All he's managing to do is prove he actually knows the square root of fk all about classic cars (except maybe VW Beetles) but I'm sure the TV production people think he's wonderful and the world's authority on the subject.....

I can't get past the insults he gave to the Ferrari ,"badly made kitcar " and "bathtub".

A severed horses head has been sent to Drew's premises.

Surprise !......never saw the Mercedes sell.

Just watched the re-run.

Big panel gaps between the bonnet & the rest of the car so it’s a good job he fitted the straps!!,

The wheels also looked horrible as did the bumpers.

So £21.5k.

Really??

Whilst I enjoyed the programme, particularly the bits that include the man in a shed, it’s obviously centred around Drew and Paul is really just a sidekick.

I’ve known Paul as a good mate for 15 years or so, and he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things automotive.
Obvious the programme is scripted, and the producer has the last say, but I really feel Paul could do a better job without a ‘star’ co presenter, and left to his own devices.

And LandSpeed really is Paul’s business where he makes a living, not just a prop.

Caught this last night, and I was already wanting to throw things at the TV before we even got to this point.....but, this show really shows up Pritchard for a monumental cocksocket.

And as for poster above, if Paul really is a mate, do him a favour and tell to get as far away from Pritchard as he can before any reputation he has earned in the trade goes down the pan.....

Still trying to work out the origins of that 340 (or was it a 240?)

California car?
If so, obviously converted to RHD, but the dash would have been replaced at that point, so, original sun destroyed wood veneer...?
Surely, if original RHD, then it wasn't a California car, but from Aus/NZ or more likely South Africa...?

Whatever it was to being with, they ruined it.

I think it was the seller that said it started off in the UK then to California then back to the UK. The car was originally sold to a business owner who later moved out to the states, so they have done 2 + 2 and think he took the car with him.
