Doesnt show a huge amount of the detail on the area, but that tool is very good. I have used the NLS maps before but not via that tool.coppice said:

Top tip to our chum - don't watch Sophie's Choice ..
If that's aimed at me, I don't get it. I've seen Sophie's Choice, and I don't see the relevance.Doofus said:
I'm a bit surprised by the bleeding hearts on here. It was 150 years ago, and theft was punishable by hanging or transportation.
Maybe I'm a psychopath, but I didn't find it tough to watch at all.
Yep same here & the threat of deportation might actually stop my dad from nicking my brollies when visiting in future too if deportation were still allowed!. Maybe I'm a psychopath, but I didn't find it tough to watch at all.

"The name Guinea Street is itself a clue about Number 10’s origins. It is named after the Guinea Coast in west Africa, a hub of the international slave trade. And the date the house was built, 1718, was at a time when Bristol was becoming Britain’s premier slaving port"
I missed the first series, my wife watched it and was full of praise
The second series covered an area I knew reasonably well coming from the North East and I really enjoyed it.
This series? I don't know Bristol at all, was at the airport once.
To be honest I fell asleep at some point through every episode. Frightened the life out of my wife in the final episode tonight when I let out a loud snore.
Whether it's the area or David's voice but in this series he seems to drag out every little item, every little snippet of info and there was very little cheer in the houses 300 year history. When a newspaper clip, birth certificate, death certificate or whatever was produced "what it tells us is...."
My wife can't understand me, she loved he series and would happily watch it all again....
I'm probably in a minority of one.

Not sure if anyone's seen yet, but 10 Guinea Street is now up for sale:

Looks like it needs a bit of reconfiguration, but the recent publicity it has had will do it no harm!
