Mile 22

A lot better than what the reviews say, typical action movie with some decent fight scenes.

7/10

King of Thieves (Hatton Garden heist).
Not a bad film, lots of very old actors who get together to show just how criminals really mess things up by being stupid and greedy.
7.5/10.
Due to negative reviews on this film I was going to give it a miss but you have persuaded me otherwise so a visit to the local fleapit this week it is.

On your head be it!
i'd give it a 5/10 ... rainy sunday afternoon tv film ...

The void (2016) - apparently a very very low budget crowdfunded horror/sci-fi/occult flick, and very enjoyable at that. I'd say that it's better than 99% of horrors I've seen. Great practical effects, good designs and decent acting. If you liked Event Horizon, this one is almost on par with it. 7.5 sam neils/12 black holes
ETA one don't get the cheap feeling out of it

to be fair some of the fight scenes were very good (albeit not a patch on The Raid and Raid 2) and I hope that Iko Uwais gets some more similar roles but I found the whole film a little disjointed. Not a 'meh' but not the sum of its parts either

Hostile - Straight off the bat I was into it. Tense, graphic and exciting. But even a good cast couldn't save the weak plot...It had potential but it quickly went dull and stayed that way. Shame.

Weird Science - Needs no explanation. Chet is still the man.

Interesting that he stated what most of us think so obviously it must be true!

I think a lot of the films fans here remember what cinema used to be in the 90s, and earlier. And obviously we like action films, but we need more plot and slower pacing in them, amongst other things.

I switched off Mad Max Something or other Road after an hour.

I could be heard muttering, jezz, will it ever end!

I turned it off after 20 minutes. The original is one of my top 5 movies of all time, but this^ was utter drivel.

Star Trek - The Motion Picture. It has its critics, and rightly so, but I think its sublime. 10/10. The scenes of The Enterprise in spacedock still leave me feeling emotional, and it's nearly 40 years old now.

The Game - Haven't seen this for years, seems very popular on IMDB but for me it's still a stinking pile of poo and I'm a big fan of Michael Douglas.

I mean, do you mean Mad Max (1979)?
I'm just wondering if you rate that over 2.

You were doing so well until you dissed The Game.

The Commuter 0/10

To be fair, after take 4000 and every other typecast film that LN is now in, I wasn't expecting much but I was hoping for something that didn't see someone I used to look forward to seeing be reduced to something as equally bad as "Left Behind".

This film takes a turd and turns it up to 11.

"Street" on Netflix, about an MMA start battling with Russian Mafia.

I'd give it 2/10 maybe 3/10 if lucky.
