I just re-watched Interstellar having not seen it since release, wow, I've just been blown away by it all over again. For some reason I couldn't remember much past the first planet though.

Without a doubt the greatest sci-fi I have watched, everything about it, to me is just about perfect.

Have watched Transylvania 3 this weak, The movie Series is still great and funny but the previous parts were better.

My son bought "Solo" and we watched it Tuesday.
I too watched it with my son who is 12, and while there's nothing bad about it, there's also nothing good. The ending was borderline boring.

While we at it, I'd like to mention Danny Glover's character. With all the fuzz going around 'This is America', I expected a bit more of the promised charisma and acting skills. Instead if you pay attention to this character he didn't do a single thing for the plot and even rarely spoke for that matter. Maybe it's me who is a fool but there was nothing charismatic about him.
I would add to this that pre-release their was a lot of talk about this pan-sexual over-blown character, but as you say, he seems hardly in it and as far as I remember doesn't 'try it on' with anyone or any thing.

Crazy Rich Asians

Given the good reviews and the fact I rarely dislike films I was surprisingly bored by this. Yes it was great to see some different scenery and a completely different cast to the usual Hollywood rom-com, but that aside it was very by the numbers. Blockers had this beat in pretty much every respect in terms of romantic comedies this year.

I wanted to like it far more than I actually did.
Same here, it was a nothing film. Alright for an afternoon tv watch on a rainy day but that's about it in my opinion.

I switched off Mad Max Something or other Road after an hour.

I could be heard muttering, jezz, will it ever end!

Netflix thing on the Iranian Embassy Siege.
Quite interesting, I remember it happening but was under 10 so no details. It's not all gung-ho look how good our boys are taking several angle. No idea on the accuracy or how much was made up but a decent film, well made.
7.8/10

The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society

After a slew of disappointing big films, this one was a breath of fresh air, loved it!

Take it from me, it's a load of tosh. I've still got shards of glass in my ankle from kicking in those damned windows, etc, etc...

Yup. I was there. One of approximately 3,754 members of The Regiment who abseiled out of one Westland Scout helicopter. But it was a massive balcony. And "you had to be there"...

I'd never heard of 'I Am Soldier'. Sheltered life, I suppose. The iMDB entry doesn't seem to be selling it as a comedy, and it's on Amazon Prime by the looks of it, and we're only doing Netflix at the moment. I'll keep an eye out for it though...

Coming to America is on, I'd give it a 9/10 but they've cut the 'f words' and therefore half the jokes out frown

Again, in comparison, Strike Back is a warts an' all documentary by comparison. Only decent bits were the shots of the Beacons which I know and love well.

You're a 'Traz man!
