Table 19.

Arm was twisted by daughter and Mrs phazed.

Enjoyed with a nice champagne as it’s Feb 14.

Typical brain out rom com, (utter tripe really) a few laughs, stephen Merchant especially.

5/10

Black Panther - good film, enjoyable and entertaining. Don't know what the fuzz is about though, it doesn't deserve 100% rating and neither shouty THE BEST MARVEL VILLAIN EVER tag. Jordan is just about acceptable, and Boseman delivers his typically excellent acting. Might be something to do with american hypocritical equality hysteria nowadays, if you know what I mean. Aside from that, solid 7/10

Watched ‘The Lobster’ last night on tv.

Strange film, but funny. And an interesting one to watch on Valentines Day.

Reminded me of a Wes Anderson film.

Den of Thieves. Hmmmm, tries hard to be Heat with a fairly obvious twist. Worth watching for the shootouts, but badly let down by the accents at the end.

5.56mm / 10
This film looked good in the trailers - but ‘Fiddy’ is more of a red flag to me than Nic Cage.

Pretty much agree with you. Have you seen Lady Bird and Call Me By Your Name yet? I think they are at least as good as The Shape of Water and 3 Billboards.

Black Panther.

Really liked it. Great cast. Strong movie. Different to most other Marvel films in a way I can’t describe.

9/10

not yet, Odeon are showing Call me by your name next week as a special 'awards' screening so will see that and Lady Bird is out next Friday isn't it?

Saw the trailer at the cinema a few weeks ago. Probably because I am not a Marvel fan but it instantly went on my, "To be avoided" list.

No Oscars for sure and a run of the mill storyline but I've watched much worse films.

Young Timothée Chalamet (CMBYN lead and “jerk boyfriend” in Lady Bird) is going to be a huge movie star. He’s a once in a generation. The next Christian Bale/Pacino/Day-Lewis/DiCaprio. He’s just been cast to play Henry V.

it's not aged brilliantly. But I still say 6.8/10

Pacino is of course excellent. And I don't know why but I love when he changes languages fluently. Great Actor!
Therons boobies are very nice
Nice guy Reeves not so much.

This scent makes me laugh though (swearing!)

Watching with an open mind, but I'm just not getting it.

We're halfway through, so it's not like we're not giving it a chance.
