Yep - the film diverged from the book for a Hollywood happy ending (no, not that kind of happy ending).

Real shame.
How did the book end?
I'll leave you to discover that joy for yourself laugh

Safety not guaranteed - low budget indie sc-fi time travel romance. Brilliant.

Watched this last night as well. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Okay, acting wasn't the best but it was consistent and it matched the film making. A great storyline.

Definitely recommend it for mid week entertainment.

Has anyone watched Victoria And Abdul?

I try to make a habit to not buy blu-rays new off the shelf at £15-20, and wait 6 months till they're £3 on ebay. Just received a copy through the post having done just that, and we're watching it tonight.

Yes - It was ok. Period pieces are not normally my cup of tea, but it had more humour in it than I was expecting which made it more bearable!

A.I.Rising. Interesting recent serbian Sci-Fi film.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5215088/

Dystopian future and a long space journey with two main characters. One human and one......
Well played by the leads. You do get to see a lot of Stoya.
The flashy visuals were good but drawn out. I liked the music and concept/story.

The premise is intriguing and i think we can all see the writing on the A.I. wall.
A couple of big corporate behemoth brother ironic laugh moments and very relevant lines.
Nice references to old sci-fi and computing concepts..

Disturbing study of some aspects of human behaviour and morals..

7 space robot nightmares out of 10 dystopian futures..

I think I'm on most people's list here after loving Mandy. Oh and I couldn't stand Solo but thought Last Jedi was excellent. It's a wonder I'm still here, actually.

I like Mandy a lot, really a lot.
I think Rogue One is a better separate Star Wars film than Solo.
I like SyFy shark/monster/disaster films.

Sometimes the production values on Sharknado films are just too good, you need a bit of 3 headed shark attack or Terrordactyl to keep it real hehe

Very good wink

What about Brothers Nest?

I really enjoyed it, my wife preferred playing some word game on her iPad!

A solid 7.7 orange suits/10 rusty cars.

Go on then! Synopsis looks ok, and I quite like Sarah Snook.

Well. She only plays a small part at the end but as a film, a little left field i suppose.

They say Coen Bros esque but it lacks their Coeness!

As a stand alone film it is great.

2 brothers, (who don't get on too well) aim to kill their stepfather so that when their mum dies, (cancer victim) they inherit the family home and land.

Much messing about drama as they set up in the house awaiting the stepfathers return..............well worth a watch. Toms gives it a critics 91% but they were probably pissed at the time smile

I use IMDB as my benchmark, and have a cut off at their 6.2. This film scores a close-run 6.5 hehe
