"Mitsuko is the sole survivor of a bizarre paranormal incident that kills all of her classmates. Running for her life, Mitsuko seemingly slips into an alternate reality, but death and chaos seems to follow her everywhere. As Mitsuko finds herself in increasingly surreal and violent situations, the true horror behind her nightmare is revealed."
I don't even know what I just watched. It was seriously weird though. Right up there with Casshern for pinging my WTF-o-meter. Kind of "grindhouse meets arthouse".
Four severed limbs out of 6 gratuitous panty shots (weirdest fan service ever).

Guardians of the Galaxy vol1
Great film, comfortably in my top 5 MCU.
Not seen it for ages, so I was happy when my lad suggested we watch it this afternoon. Great stuff. 9/10.
I'm gonna try stick on Big trouble in little China for the family night in film this weekend, wife has never seen it and hates old films, wish me luck
Yeah, GotG1&2 are just excellent, they are my top 5 too.Great film, comfortably in my top 5 MCU.

Watched BTiLC yet? One of the best ones from the 80s, there are some great vids on it too, Oliver Harper has one, and MInty.

The new Ted Bundy film. Zach Efron is the best thing in it, which should tell you all you need to know...
I enjoyed it but I’m a sucker for a serial killer especially one as charming as Bundy. If you watch the actual courtroom footage (it’s on Netflix) Efron did the monster justice. Solid soundtrack and the Hetfield cameo was pretty cool.Halb said:

I didn't mind his Jumanji effort, but Big trouble in little China needs to be left alone

Just finished watching this with my wife, thought it was quite good?
Perhaps because I had a vague understanding of the Ted Bundy case before watching it, may be that gave me different perspective...
I've done all the TV shows and read a lot already, so knew the subject matter well, which could be why it didn't resonate with me. It seemed to focus on being as true to life as possible in some respects, but forgot about the need to have a cohesive narrative as a film.Perhaps because I had a vague understanding of the Ted Bundy case before watching it, may be that gave me different perspective...
Tyrannosaur
Now there's a film that makes my Surrey seem like utopia!
Brilliant acting all round. Set in Scotland, anger, drink, heavy with colourful people you wouldn't necessarily want to meet. Easy to get immersed in this sort of dark film.

Assuming you mean Tyrannosaur, I saw that some years ago and it's a great film. Fantastic performance by Olivia Colman. Now there's a film that makes my Surrey seem like utopia!

Avengers Endgame.
One for fans or children. Pathos and bathos, Hollywood's version of virtue and loss slapped on so thick with a spade they forgot the plot and humour of the first movie. Even Thanos was bored by the end. So much angst in a movie featuring comic book superheroes can only either result in empathy or tedium.
Whether it was because the film was over 3 hrs long (inc trailers) or becuase everyone needed the lavatory, I've never seen a cinema empty so quickly at end credits.
4/10

Avengers: Endgame, a seminal moment in cinema. Thought it was OK to good first time, and much better second time.
Tomorrowland - meh, wizzed through bits of it, recall watching that at the ics too
Captain Fantastic, oh my. Recorded it first time on SUnday but it missed the start, read a review above and gave it another shot on the repeat screening. Just an amazing story. Had to stop it at a certain point, thought it would go formula, but it didn't. Viggo is a damn fine actor.

'Cold Pursuit' = Steaming Turd.
A scene for scene remake of the much superior 2014 Norwegian original.. 'In order of disappearance.'
The acting is laughably bad with some weird editing and continuity..
Not a patch on the original..
All the actors looked and sounded like they were going through the motions. (Turds)
No wonder Liam Neeson's wife in the film fked off halfway through.
