She was 12. Might have caused a bit of a kerfuffle today!
Seemed to be a father daughter dynamic to me, just as his nurturing of his pot plant was along a similar protective narrative for the character.Never thought anything else.
Great film though. I have handed it down to the next generation and it is one of the favourites of my 4 children.

Been a while since I read about it but wasn’t father daughter thing.

I can recall that the girl makes a joke about her relationship to the landlord...and then Leon comes back and they're shown the door. I'd have to watch it again (not seen it for years) to comment further.
She does & he (Manager) does. I watched the DC version, it's maybe 15 mins longer; the extra scenes mostly expand on the relationship - although it's years since I'd watched the original (which I still have on VHS) so difficult to compare.

They cut other scenes iirc the director imagined it that he fell in love with her etc.

I think Reno said he deliberately played Leon as a little simplistic/autistic as a means of reducing the creepiness of the whole thing. Likewise Oldman hamming it up to the max vs Leon being so straight.Been a while since I read about it but wasn’t father daughter thing.
The original script had them more romantically connected.

Yep.The original script had them more romantically connected.
I’m guessing the studio made him cut it to tone it down.
Once Up on a Time in Hollywood
Don't think I've ever been bored by a Tarrantino film, but I just found this boring and quite pointless. Dissapointing as I'd been looking forward to it coming on Sky
Enjoyed the period detailing (cars etc) and the overall look of it, but the story and lack of any Tarrantino-esque dialogue really let it down.
5/10.

Watched it yesterday too. Haven't seen the documentary, but this is a doctor's and nurses injury analysis of the film. In short, they would be dead or a vegetable several times over

when one looks at it in 2019 eyes, it does look insane. Makes me wonder how pissweak the remake will behttps://youtu.be/sAyNfRGtrOc
