Dark Waters

A must see film about Du Pont, A giant American chemical company who had covered up there totally illegal disposal of chemicals that were affecting the local communities water supply.

Absolutely excellent film based on fact. No doubt this happens worldwide especially in less fortunate countries but should always be exposed especially as these companies get richer and other peoples expense.

Mark Ruffalo plays the main man as only he can.

The Killing Of A Sacred Deer (2017) Blu-ray

Mistake of the past catches up with cardiologist & family man Colin Murray presenting an impossible decision.

Where to start with this one... psycho-horror, creepy & unsettling. Cracking cinematography & an excellent cast.
This has been on my list for awhile. Looking forward to a viewing.
Wrong Colin though wink

''That watch cost more than your car.(Very PH) I made $970,000 last year. How much you make? You see, pal, that's who I am. And you're nothing. Nice guy? I don't give a sh*t. Good father? F*ck you, go home and play with your kids!!
Watched this last night, made a change to have a film that was under 2 hours and actually had some intelligent dialogue and interraction!

You only have to look as far as American water companies and a certain Julia Roberts film to see similarities...

Usual ones that I think of for 'business' movies: The Big Short; 99 Homes (on iPlayer @ moment); Wall St (dated, but great, also bits of Wall St II); Boiler Room (for the sales spiel bits) and the short-stock sales routine in The Wolf of Wall Street (rest of that one's great).

Probably a few more as well.

edited to add in The Company Men & Rogue Trader - both worth watching IMO.

The Courier on Netflix.

Was drawn to it as it has Gary Oldman in it, which is normally a good indicator. Sadly, I I was wrong it was dross, 3/10.

I've never see it either, and I sat next to my wife while she watched it on a transatlantic flight.

"The Mountain Between Us", recorded from a week or two back, Idris Elba and Kate Winslet are in a light aircraft crash and have to rely on each other to survive. It wasn't a terrible film, but pretty predictable.

For those who liked Erin Brokovich, keep an eye for The Rainmaker starring Matt Damon and Danny DeVito. It's another excellent film with a similar story.
