The Falcon looks different both internally and externally.

Gotta have something new to sell those lego kits.......
Internally, it looks new. Externally, it has a cargo pod between the "jaws" at the front.
it’s intended purpose I believe in one way or another

Edit -

Vue cinemas have just announced that they are dropping the price of standard 2D tickets to £4.99.

I might give it a punt on that basis.

Not that i'm complaining - but there does seem to be a bit of a theme developing in these movies too:

Daisy Ridley, Felicity Jones and now Emilia Clarke all in the leading role or main cast.

Somebody at Disney obviously has a hard-on for slim, brunette 'English Rose' type girls hehe

I'm excited. I thought the Last Jedi was very good.

From what I've seen, it looks like I suspected. Garbage. I'm surprised they didn't get Chris Pratt playing Han Solo.

Sorry if my viewpoint differs from yours. smile

Just because I think star wars films are now garbage? hehe

I really enjoyed the new blade runner.

I really don't get the Han Solo feel with the new trailer. Don't know why, but the actor they have used doesn't seem to fit the bill.

Also, this one is out only five months after the major disappointment that was TLJ. I know there is a gap afterwards, but turning things into a conveyor belt wrecks things.

I’m hoping that getting away from the main story arc will help, rogue one gives me a bit of hope.

Can’t help but think a different actor could have pulled off solo a bit better though, someone like Chris pine maybe.

Trailer re-cut with Sabotage

That does improve it A LOT, I hadn't really considered the role of a great song in making a trailer look good, but I should have known really the trailer for Suicide Squad with Queen made it look amazing, but it really was a gaping septic wound of a film.

I have faith in this - Star Wars 7 great, Rogue One great, Star Wars 8 - ste, but I blame the director for that - they seemed to really go out of their way too really smash the memories of the oringals in the nuts over and over and over again to make it more palatable to new fans (look kids, the films your Dad have been bleating on about for 30 years - we've crushed them for you!).

Anyway - the Spin-offs are more for the oldies (I hope) so I'm hopeful - lets just hope whoever is in charge of this one doesn't hate middle aged men.

Wow, they’ve done an incredible job of getting an actor who looks like the original Chewbacca eek

I think I have figured out something about the Solo version of the falcon.

Looking at a closeup of the lego kit - it's looks rather like:

the front wedge shaped bit between the mandibles is a detachable escape pod or mini ship

https://i.redd.it/u7o424e6rl801.jpg

You can see what look like blue thrusters near the front - as well as the front of the usual mandibles next to where the red missile launcher things are.

Also the entire piece between the mandibles looks like it is not connected to the main part of the ship - and looks like it will slide out.

edit:

found this image on google just now - pretty much confirms the above.

Seems like they tried to get every cliche line ever into the film.

Not hopeful about this one.
