I know Wavertree a little bit and always thought it was funny if you start at the end with the big park and Athletics club is quite nice, then as you go towards the city centre up Smithdown Rd, literally street by street it gets continually worse until you get to the Webster Triangle that is like some apocalyptic wasteland. Google street view 'Garrick Street, L7' and you can see for yourselves.

Do like Liverpool though, its a great city with nice character, a lot of the south side is gentrified and on its way up.
I wonder what its like at night round there. I wouldn't mind living there.

Houses look alright if you pick a good one. Ample parking. No annoying neighbours banging on the walls or making noise. Heck, at £1 a house you could buy 3 in a row and live in the middle one. How do I get one?

I switched on for 5 minutes and felt generally scared and sad for that family, almost trapped in their house whilst the streets are run by teenage scumbags terrorising everyone frown
Yep very sad state of affairs & very poorly handled by the council that there's not more people living / renovating properties driving the scheme forwards. I was expecting to see lots more progress from the last series & yet it appears almost the same.

Are the houses even worth repairing? One of the houses they were filming needed all internal walls rebuilt. The house looked on the verge of falling down.

There was a clip at the start where someone was checking the ground underneath and said the ground wasn't fit for housing. Maybe that's to come further down the series?

I remember that the owners had to sign agreements when taking part. I wonder if the council also had to offer some safeguards in return?

What if that couple have to move out as the street just gets left to crumble away? Will the council reimburse the £45k they've pumped in?
