Watching tonight and the drama is building over one of the wives overhearing a conversation from an accidental phone call from a mobile in a pocket.

Can you really accidentally phone from a mobile these days?

Most likely is activating Siri and it dialling someone whose name it hears. Holding down the power button activates it, so it’s at least plausible. Or Rupert didn’t want to seem like he was ‘telling the teacher’ and Evelyn was happy to take the flak for it.

Of all of the girls, it’s Evelyn who seems the most genuine. Interesting to see people’s real personalities coming out now though, and really feel for Sandy.

Apparently Evelyn has been on Big Brother in the U.K. previously. So while she comes across pretty well, she’s still the usual fame-hungry wannabe.

Jesse is given a lot of credit for his attitude dealing with Clare, and I couldn’t condone Clare kissing another husband, but it seems to have been quickly forgotten how awful Jesse was to Clare early on. He shut the relationship down and was rude to her because he said he got the ick.

Dan seems to be putting to use an awful lot of the Harrison school of conversational arts this week

& why did Janelle & Adam think it was worth getting fish within a month & living in those tiny apartments?!

He's gone from being incredibly considerate and somewhat sweet, to a complete arse who seems to have decided that she's in the wrong for having excema and not being interested in running...

Pretty much every watcher nods in agreement

Yep & if she had gone out and done her own thing and he'd come home to an empty apartment instead of waiting for him to return in the hope of doing something together he would attack her for that instead of claiming she sits around in front of the tv all the time.
I could see something in his eyes change at the 2nd commitment ceremony & him check out at the point when they really could have pulled together as a team.
I really don't believe a word out of his mouth anymore which is where i'm at with Harrison too.

Fame hungry wannabe is probably a little harsh. She is a model and undoubtedly knows tv exposure helps her ‘brand’. There seems like a decent intellect there and she seems pretty well moralled.

Agree on Jesse. I’m not saying he deserved to be cheated on, but undoubtedly at the point it happened he’d been a total arse to Claire, and I suspect she fully thought things were over between them given his behaviour. Adam on the other hand….

I’m not singling Evelyn out as a fame-hungry wannabe; they all are. It’s obvious Harrison and Brontë came to a pact of some sort to stay in the show; nobody wants to lose the opportunity for self-promotion and leave early.

Anyone who is willing to go on Big Brother and MAFS falls into that category, IMO. Being a model should be a good career for her; I think she’s coming across pretty well on MAFS but it’s obviously a diversion from a modelling career.

I'm still not buying the butt call storyline. To accidentally phone someone 3 times for 1 minute each time must be near impossible.

It dragged out too long last night. Evelyn kept dropping more detail as the night went on.

Agreed.

Chuffed for Mel and Leyton too, they seem genuinely well suited - but are both of a similar personality type that was always going to make a pairing tough. Either one paired with someone less confident/assertive and they'd get bored. Paired up, and there's always going to be fireworks but I reckon they'll get through it.

As long as Leyton switches off the robot part of his personality every now and then!

Outside of the nonsense of the TV show I think Mel and Layton are gonna be absolutely sound.

Alyssa is a total crackpot and even after all that she didn't take accept a slice of blame for any of their arguments, all of which she started. The stuff about him changing was just that he had been exposed to more and more of the crazy and he didn't like it. The nerve of her saying she was willing to help him... With what, putting up with your st? biggrin

It's no wonder she can't keep a decent bloke.. I don't normally get that into reality TV but seeing a thoroughly decent bloke berated by some crazy bh like that got me riled up good and proper rofl

Similar thing with Harrison and Bronte too, he's a horrible narcissistic prick, but felt less sympathy for her cos it was right in front of her from day 1 and I think she just wanted to stay on TV and get her 15mins of fame and the blue tick for insta and twitter. Tragic.

I suspect we're not as far in as others, being around the half way point. We're around where Claire and Adams fumble has come out. How the hell Alyssa took such the moral high ground when she was previously some married mans tart is anyones guess.

No apologies needed. IIRC the last episode we watched was the commitment ceremony where Jesse decided 'leave' and Claire 'stay'. Personally I think Jesse needs to have a go on Janelle, then laugh in Adams face about it.
