Lost in Space - New Netflix series
Discussion
Switched off half way through Ep 5 and have no interest in going back. Really interesting concept but it just feels so lazily researched and put together. I'm happy to suspend belief for make-believe telly but the amount of time characters go off on expeditions on what is an entirely uncharted planet with zero supplies etc really bothers me among many other things.
My main issue is the Dr. Smith story arc, it's painful to watch and really slows the show down.

The Dr Smith thing is there presumably for the same reasons as in the original, interpersonal drama is cheaper to make than having the characters deal with external threats. My main issue is the Dr. Smith story arc, it's painful to watch and really slows the show down.
