"Where Eagles Dare" was only released to the cinemas in 1969 - so it can't be included in a survey of films shown on TV for the past 50 years as it isn't 50 years old yet
Eric that makes no sense. In your opinion which film has been aired the most on British TV.
I agree there is an issue with recency, but let's face it its unlikely to be The Battleship Potekim, or even the Wizard of Oz, or Sound of Music.
Clint Eastwood's wallet gets a good topping-up with In The Line Of Fire, Heartbreak Ridge, High Plains Drifter and Pale Rider getting regular airings.
I remember 'She Wore A Yellow Ribbon' back in the 60s/70s getting a reputation for over-exposure - but this was in the days of only 3 channels.

Probably doesn't count, but the 1967-73 Trade Test colour films.
"... on average, each film was shown 90 times". "Giuseppina" was shown 158 times.

The WED armourers must have had a hell of a stock of MP-40 blanks..
I wonder how many rounds were fired during rehearsals and all the takes...
I don't know about WED but apparently more ammunition (well, blanks) was fired during the making of the 'The Wild Bunch' than in the entire Mexican Revolution.I wonder how many rounds were fired during rehearsals and all the takes...

Within the last 50 years. "Where Eagle's Dare" isn't 50 years old yet - so it needs another year at least to qualify. In your opinion which film has been aired the most on British TV.
