I seem to recall thinking how season-inappropriate it was to show it at the time, so probably quite some distance from Christmas. Same as the recent Silent Witness series finale, set at Christmas, shown in February.Eric Mc said:

I agree there is an issue with recency, but let's face it its unlikely to be The Battleship Potekim, or even the Wizard of Oz, or Sound of Music.

On normal TV The great escape. I don't have Sky so don't see how much films are reshown
