ITV2 seem to play stuff to death for a bit, then drop it, then bring it back. At one point you couldn't shift for "Love Actually", but it's been ages since I recall seeing it in the listings.
That point will have been "TV Schedule Christmas" which as we know, lasts from October through to New Year's Day.

ITV 2 seem to be getting their money's worth out of The Hobbit series at present.

I seem to recall thinking how season-inappropriate it was to show it at the time, so probably quite some distance from Christmas. Same as the recent Silent Witness series finale, set at Christmas, shown in February.

Yep - if you roll film franchises up, the Die Hards will also be hitting a high score.

Eric that makes no sense.

In your opinion which film has been aired the most on British TV.

I agree there is an issue with recency, but let's face it its unlikely to be The Battleship Potekim, or even the Wizard of Oz, or Sound of Music.
Within the last 50 years. "Where Eagle's Dare" isn't 50 years old yet - so it needs another year at least to qualify.
I think I read it as which film regardless of when it was made has been shown the most time in the last 50 years.

On normal TV The great escape. I don't have Sky so don't see how much films are reshown

Has to be Wizard of Oz. Surely been shown every year since first on TV. I think the list should be limited to when there were only 5 channels though.

Or Gone With the Wind.

Total Recall.

Between ITVs 2,3 and 4, Ch5 and SyFy I'm pretty sure it gets shown at least every 'two weeks'.
I like what you did there smile
