Yeah, I couldn't work out how to watch with ads but without paying to subscribe.

I think $99 for 2 years is the regular price. 1 year is normally $60 but discounted to $25 for the first year.

Better get your credit cards out - no new episodes on YouTube, they're only for Motor Trend OnDemand.

The biggest issue I have with that is oddly not the cost. I watched them on the TV through the YouTube app. I can’t do that with MT on Demand, which means watching on a tablet or computer. Which just seems like a backwards step.
If you have a Fire Stick there is a MTOD App that you can use. I use either that or via the app on my phone which is then running through my apple tv.

I'm already subbed up so no water off my back, but twitter is alight with people moaning about it coming off youtube. I reckon this might see a bit of an exodus from MTOD on the presenter front; Mike F already has his own channel and a lot of the content is similar to RK; Lucky has his own channel as well.

Has he started posting again? Found it a while ago but he hadn't uploaded anything in a couple of years.

I found this recently on Netflix and was enjoying it while it lasted, no way I am signing up to yet another subscription service.

I think it's just Roadkill that's on netflix - MTOD has around 12 different shows which it produces and most are exclusive to subs. It also gives you access to 50+ motorsport streams (a mix or archive and current stuff) - things like NHRA drags, WEC, Trans Am, Aussie V8s, British GT Championship etc. You actually get a lot for your money, but they were recently bought out by Discovery Networks and they've flooded the platform with all the worthless (IMO) discovery-funded motor stuff like GoblinWorks, Overhaulin, Fast N Loud etc. Only upside is the full back catalogue of Chasing Classic Cars and most of Wheeler Dealer's back catalogue also.

A lot of MTOD originals unhappy when Discovery bought it; they saw it as the start of the end. This latest move seems to confirm this but I'll stay subbed unless the quality of the original MTOD shows starts to drop.

I haven’t. The TV has YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime built in. It seems odd to me tha t as TV seems to be moving more towards streaming services that they have removed the ability to watch on tv.

The built in Amazon tv app has a MTOD add-on available as well. Although I've never been able to get it to work; it only seems to allow new subscribers to use it (i.e. no log-on screen for existing subs).

Ah, I’ll have a look to see if I can find that.

They’re going to be on Motor Trend for free but a month later than On Demand, same as they are on YouTube now but all in one website.

There's also a Roku app.

Be aware that a lot of stuff "cannot be viewed in your area" - I assume that's mostly programmes that are, or have been, shown on Discovery via Virgin/Sky.

Of course, that also means that you may have already watched (or avoided smile) much of the content on Virgin, Sky, Quest, or YouTube.

Half hour slots on discovery Monday's, couple of eccentric car guys messing with old motors. They supercharged a Chevy monza with five leafblowers last night and got almost 140mph out of it. I enjoyed it, worth a watch if you like unpolished, uncultured car shows

Good news. I refuse to pay for MTOD so haven't seen them for a few years.

Finnigans YouTube channel is pretty good.

Been watching this series every week, these guys are nuts, worth a watch if you like oddball stuff and dangerously anti health and safety exuberance!! Just watched one where they rear mount a Chevy v8, supercharge it, take the drive through a v drive from a boat, direct power rearward in a cut short 1950 f6 truck just so they can wheelie it...and boy they do!!

It's a great program. There are some brilliant episodes - particularly early on. The rat rod Charger with a motorhome big block was one that sticks in my mind.

I pay for motor trend on demand, its only a few quid a month. Lots of content on there for petrolheads.
Hotrod garage and roadkill garage are both very good and worth a look.

That was the first episode I watched on YouTube years ago.

I quite like the various Draguar and Rotsun episodes too.

The wheelie-ing truck is hard to beat though.

I know it’s different strokes for different folks and all that but MTOD subscription is the best money I spend each month.

Roadkill, Roadkill Garage, Hot Rod Garage, Engine Masters and every now and then Dirt Every Day (which can often be Roadkill in the mud), even Junkyard Gold is excellent and Drift This is a bit of silly fun too.

It’s not big money, especially if you catch it when it’s on offer and you get 6 or 7 decent shows a month. It’s a bit of a shame we don’t get all the stuff you can get in the States but I still think it’s worth it.
