The smarmy young fella annoys me. He starts too many sentences with "so" and doesn't wear socks. I just hate him for no logical reason.

I thought that was too easy for £125k. It's a very well known fact.
What was too easy for £125K?
The F1 question
Very helpful, thank you. What was the F1 question?

People on a motoring forum think an F1 question is too easy for the general population. Well I never...

Just asked my wife is she knows, she doesn't. Although I accept my sample survey of 1 proves little.

Anyone entering a quiz will need some knowledge of many topics. Stirling Moss not winning the title must be one of the best known facts about F1.

The guy on the show knew it without hesitation. It's been used on a number of other quiz shows.

Clarkson mentioned that Moss narrowly missed out on the 1958 F1 championship and then, as an aside, said that he “thought” that Fangio was the winner that year.

Maybe he should have phoned a friend, the correct answer being Mike Hawthorn.

I told my wife that . She said 'how very interesting ' and sighed. But despite being as old as Nelson Piquet I got the Lewis Capaldi question - down wiv der kidz ...err...obvs. Not knowing 'parquet' - FFS it's a word which is kissing cousins with 'floor'.

As for the Godot mauling - all I can say is that she didn't get Lucky.... .

I do sometimes wonder whether the question-setters are 22-year old graduates. Anything that they don't know must be difficult. I recall a £1m question back in the Tarrant days along the lines of "which county cricket team play their matches at Chester-le-Street?" A million quid for that!!! All you needed was the vaguest idea of where Chester-le-Street was. Unless they thought that cricket was a franchise operation and that Durham may actually play in Southampton.

One person's idea of difficult is often different from another's shock horror.

I have no idea about cricket, so I would be.....erm....stumped with that question.

I’ve always known that Chester-le-Street is in County Durham, but I had no idea that Durham had a County cricket team, if I think of sport in the NE, I think of football.

It's not really a cricket question. It's really just asking in which county is Chester-le-Street.

Exactly my point. Not a £1m question if several million people who live in the north-east would know the answer.
