The question where the answer was Blaise Pascall was asked on another quiz show recently, it may have been mastermind or the chase, and due to that I knew the first name. Otherwise I might have struggled with that one.

I do wish Jeremy wouldn't dither, drives me nuts. Not a scratch on Chris Tarrant.

Apart from that not a bad programme.

Seriously? Tarrant was utterly bland and not the least bit entertaining.

JC’s a far better host.

I knew it was Pascal but had not a single clue what his first name was but took a punt on Blaise on my answer to Mrs geeks simply as I knew it wasn't the others. She knew the Davis Cup one which I thought was a gold tournament (I follow neither sport)

Agreed, CT had a very limited repertoire of 'gags' or perhaps permitted lines, JC does seem to go off piste at times.

Clearly he can rub some folks up the wrong way, the Mrs thinks he's rude, I think he's funny. For example his response to whoever bailed out at 16k not having to worry about what to do with lots of money, harsh but fair. Maybe I got the wording wrong there but that's the gist of it.

My Mrs thought he was arrogant/rude to say that...whereas I just took it as light hearted banter with him meaning no offence. I think that he is a brilliant host on this and he is really quick/funny.

"Winning lots of money can change some people, but you don't have to worry about that". hehe

I thought Pascal was overly simple for that kind of money but at the same time the Tennis question I had no clue about as no interests of any of those sports....

I wouldn't have either. Jay-Z did seem too obvious.

There seem to be quite a few teachers on the show.

Didn't know the 'Tog' question, amazing!

Some thought a Tog rating was for a refrigerator FFS.

And the contestant was a teacher.
