Agreed. I thought with Shane Black involved it might get the feeling of the originals. Instead we had Hollyoaks does Predator.

Before The Predator, there was a pitch for a Predators sequel with Adrien Brody and Alice Braga's characters being captured and taken to the ship, described as 'Die Hard on a Predator ship'. It didn't get taken up, now that Fox is Disney, it probably never will https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/3629537/die-ha...

“At the end of Act One, Royce, Isabelle and their guys are captured by Super Predators – on purpose because they allow themselves to be captured – and are brought to their ship that they use to funnel people to this planet,” he explains. “There’s got to be some sort of big transport. So now you get to see this transport. So our guys breakout…and what the movie is is Die Hard on a Predator ship.”

Litvak continues, “The idea was now you break free and now you’re trying to take control of the ship with all of the Super Predators you have to fight there. And of course all the other st that’s there…like the alien zoo on that ship… And get this…the last thing is why Drew [20th Century Fox] was like “wow, I love that idea!” At the end of the day we win, we get back to Earth, we land and we realise it’s the future! All along we thought this was happening now, but what if these guys have been on ice for 300 years? The hatch opens, and the Space [Colonial] Marines come in!”

If it was done properly (not as a comedy action film like The Predator) it might have been good.

The best unmade Predator movie would be the one that was hinted during Predator 2's ending - set in the past. A group of Samurai, Vikings or Roman Legionaries having to fight them without any sort of firearms.

that last one seems like a trap people keep stepping in.They should make a film of people watching it.

If it ignoring the last team, is it also ignoring the AvP films?

I wish there was some way we could all collectively forget those 3 films existed as well

My 10 year old is absolutely busting to watch Predator and Aliens but his mum says no. At his age I'd already watched most of the 80s classics and remember crying when Arnie sacrifices himself at the end of T2
