Throttle House is pretty good if you can stand the presenters' style. I didn't expect to like Calvin's Car Diary but I actually really do, although he seems to have a habit of buying the same car again and again in some kind of never-ending essex-indy-car-dealer cycle - makes you realise how often (and quickly) some cars change hands in that business.

Ronald Finger and Fuzzy Dice projects are both US-based and put out good videos fixing up old cars. UnitedByTrucks and Westen Champlin are both US-truck focused. Salvage Rebuilds UK is ok; he's got a Series 1 Range Rover restro on the go that's quite interesting. My Classic Car TV go around US classic car meets doing profiles on mostly custom builds.

I've recently discovered the Cleetus McFarland channel and have ended up binging on his uploads in chronological order... what a guy. Serious work ethic, totally down to earth and utterly batsh!t insane.
I started watching him recently too, prompted by him buying a derelict racetrack that he's now bringing back to operational level.

Yep, I've watched a few of Samcrac's recently - which then led me on to our own Ratarossa

Mighty car mods.

The feature length films they have done are excellent, everything else is great quality fun watching.

It's put my car projects back on track with new enthusiasm.

I think the 'Scraptona' that he went to look at, but ended up not buying, is possibly my favourite car on the internet.

I was willing him to buy it but ultimately understood his reasons why.

The Dale Truck - apparently originally raced by Mike Skinner (a.k.a. The American on Season 1 of the Grand Tour). Came with a cammed LS1, now has a Texas Speed 427 (basically a sleeved LS7) and nitrous, thanks to James Taal (Dr Sprayemall).

Re the Scraptona, James Taal was (unusually) the voice of reason. That thing had been so hacked about, there was so little original metal in it, and trying to make it compliant with either road or racing regulations would have been extremely difficult. They would be much better off starting out with a solid Charger shell.

Good grief, I've just watched his BMW 7 series rebuild! Anyone else would just go "yeah, that's getting turned into dog food tins"
Is it really safe to allow a car like that to drive again? I don't think I would ever be comfortable driving a car that's been that heavily damaged... and that's coming from a self-admitted automotive masochist whose daily is a vaguely shonky E66 760Li!

This is a new one, Speedy, Beardy & The Mole. Adam Ferrara, Tanner Foust and Rutledge Wood from the old Top Gear USA watching their show back and talking about it.

https://youtu.be/Jdk-uCuE3H4.

They do count you in to press play on the episode their talking about, this one is RVs, so if anyone has found their series of TG USA on the Youtubes or anywhere else, it would probably help. They are watching it on Hulu.

Recently watched a few Petrol Ped videos. Started off with his Mini Cooper SE EV drive, carried on since with his Electric Classic Cars Tesla powered VW bus crew cab pickup video, and the rally Mini replica and Escort MK2 RS2000 Cosworth video.

Really nice guy, I loaned him a couple cars in his early days and stayed in touch.

Bad Obsession is so addictive, but the wait for new content is too long (When you just want updates)
Harrys Garage - Perfectly fine to sit and watch
Samcrac annoyed me with the floor pan repair on the Ferrari
STG is usually pretty good
Jay Leno can be good, some amazing cars.

Bit of a thread bump but I only just discovered Soup Classic Motoring and think it deserves another mention on here. His stop motion style is just incredible and like nothing else out there. He's just one guy pouring his heart and soul into making youtube videos and deserves the recognition.

I would rather watch people actually fixing stuff up than just hooning about...

Cleetus McFarland – enjoyable madness
Harry’s Garage – excellent TV, I would like him to do more road trips though, clear off COVID, I want more road trips…
Jay Leno’s garage– some of the cars are absolutely gorgeous
Arthur tussik – I sit there and think, “that car looks a lot better than it did 5 day ago…”
M539 restorations – just BMW maintenance as far as I am aware.
Peter Anderson – but he’s gone off the boil a bit recently, COVID? Just an Aussie guy in his shed fixing up old Aussie muscle.
Nicks garage – mainly Mopar engine rebuilds.
Tyrells classic workshop
Mustie1 – although it’s predominantly VW stuff and small engine repair.
Car wizard

Although I know this is car related stuff, surely Allen Millyard can’t go without a mention… those bikes are amazing

M539 does restorations, not jus maintenance; he’s one of my favorites right now.

I recently had a purge and unsubbed to quite a few of the US-based channels - Hoovie, JRGO, samcrac, tavarish etc as they were all becoming a bit samey. Still watching Fingerprints Workshop (he’s nearly finished that Fuero), finnegan’s garage and Memphis.

Also found a Japanese channel about a back street mechanic in Tokyo who fixes up 80s and 90s cars. No idea what the channel is called (name is in kanji) and obvs can’t understand what he’s talking about but his videos are really good.

Completely agree. M539 is excellent and I look forward to his uploads. I almost prefer the simpler one man, ambitious builds. I also agree about some of the American guys you mentioned. Especially Tavarish and Samcrac. They've become really boring, never actually do anything and what they do is boring, nor do they finish anything.

Another channel I do like currently is Speed Academy. Couple of good guys in Canada doing interesting stuff. They've been going a while, but they get a move on, show all their work in detail and do some cool stuff.

I think all of my favourites have been mentioned already with the exception of Budget Buildz. His series of rebuilding an air cooled 911 that he literally found in a scrapyard is inspirational. He's done it on a very limited budget and a lot of hard work.

You almost can’t blame them for following the same strategy that initially grew their channel - they still get thousands of views but I’m just not interested anymore.

“I bought the cheapest Range Rover in the US and I’m going to fix it for nothing” quickly moves to “my cheap Range Rover is trashed; this is definitely the fault of RR and not the previous owner who treated it like st” to “my RR is DEAD because of my cheap fix - never buying another one ever” then 3 weeks later “I bought ANOTHER cheap RR” rolleyes
